Below are links to two different Excel tools I have developed for speeding up PFS character creation. Both are stored on but not usable on Google Docs. To use them you must download them and open them with Excel. Though other spreadsheet programs may work as well.

PFS Ability Score Arrays & PFS Starting Gear

Oooo nice

Starting Gear should include a few more items, including a few of the kits from the Pathfinder Society Field Guide.

Arrows need to include more than just the basic plain vanilla arrows. Blunt, cold iron, etc.

Given the costs, you probably want to include the information on slings and sling bullets.

Thanks for the critique. I was also thinking about adding mounts/pack animals. Also, did you notice if any of the potions/oils were not actually legal spells to turn into potions/oils? I tried to only choose spells that were legal, but I am not sure if I missed one or two.

I'm only seeing one potion, the perfectly legal Potion of Cure Light Wounds.

Some potions to think about, although some would be better as scrolls:
Mage Armor
Endure Elements
Comprehend Languages
Protection from Evil
Enlarge Person (melee type)
Infernal Healing
Reduce Person (range type)
Vanish (downside: 1 round duration)

Oils:
Magic Weapon
Bless Weapon

Spells not legal for potions:
Shield
True Strike
Expeditious Retreat
Gravity Bow
Lead Blades
Mirror Strike

If a spell has a range of Personal, it is not legal to make it into a potion or oil.

Note that some spells, even if technically legal, don't make a lot of sense as a potion or oil:
Magic Missile, for example.

Did you download it, open it in Excel and click on the drop box?

I have downloaded it, but haven't opened it in Excel yet.

Mea culpa.

Or maybe I should just blame this POS PC I am using. When it is't crashing specific applications, except when I took it in to the repair shop, it is blue screening, so I hadn't gotten around to opening the file, yet. Heh.

Spoiler:
Then again, maybe Perry knows of another reason why my life has been odd, lately

Now, just for flavor, I would tend to make the Stabilize an oil rather than a potion. Rub it on, rather than try to force it down the target's throat. Same time to apply, either way, of course.

Overall, they look fine. I am not sure I would have included Protection from Good, but that is probably just me.

Add a drop-down in the rope item for the higher quality but lighter rope. It can usually be afforded at 1st level during build, especially if the PC is likely to need strict weight control.

You might consider including items from the two books, in addition to Cor, that are or have been part of the core assumption, Seeker of Secrets and the Pathfinder Society Field Guide.

Both of them contain items that have moved into the area of "staples".

On the other document, the point buy arrays, you might want to consider adding the boon races, with the notation after their name of (PFS Boon only) or some such.

I remember Pathfinder Society Field Guide (which I do have) in the core assumption, but not Seeker of Secrets (which I want to pick up but haven't been able to yet). Was that in the core assumption before Season 3?

Quote:

Guide to Pathfinder Society Organized Play, page 5.

Pathfinder Society Organized Play assumes that every player has the following resources.
Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Core Rulebook
Pathfinder Campaign Setting: Pathfinder Society Field Guide
Guide to Pathfinder Society Organized Play(this document)

I will see about implementing some of the other changes, though you can already change the quantity to "0" on the hemp rope and select silk rope under "Optional Adventuring Gear".

Grand Lodge 4/5

Yes, Seeker of Secrets was in the core assumption before the PSFG was published and replaced it there.

Among other material, SoS contains the rules on the interactions between Wayfinders and Ioun Stones.

Thank you for this contribution I will take a look at it, and again thank you for sharing your work.

The PFS Starting Gear has been updated with most (if not all) of the changes mentioned above. Please see OP for link (and remember to download it and open it in Excel).

The PFS Ability Score Arrays has been updated to include all PFS legal races (as far as I can tell). Please see OP for link.
