It would be physically impossible for Paizo to send out all those dozens of thousands of subscriber packages in one day, so they are spread out across a week or so. Sometimes you get yours on Monday, sometimes on Friday. C'est la vie.
Also, adding sidecart stuff to your shipment tends to land you towards the tail end of the queue, as your order requires special handling unlike batches of "Sub1 + Sub2+ Sub3" packages.

It takes several days to get through everyone. Sometimes you'll be first and sometimes last - depends how much the algorithm loves you on the day, sadly. :(
Paizo have previously reassured subscribers that they have sufficient AP instalments for us. It's a (brief) back order for those who may choose to order it now. It wouldn't be unusual if some subscribers are still getting their emails at the end of the week.

Actually Lisa has said that the side cart doesn't automatically move you to the back, these special trequests get threaded in between when the ware house have some spare time. They don't want to discourage people from buying extra stuff.

Once upon a time, people adding extra things to their order did in fact put them at the back of the queue. And then a little Customer Service Carebear who shall remain nameless, with the help of a Customer Service Happiness-Inducement Imp who shall also remain nameless, agitated to get the system fixed because we did not like seeing customers penalized for wanting extra items added to their orders. And because we... I mean, they, persisted in their quest to Make Things Better™, things got changed and the customers lived happily ever after.
