Another pulled pork sandwich. It's my last week at this job, so I figured I should patronize the lady who sells meat out of a truck down the road one last time.

If ever get a chance try Banh Mi, its a Vietnamese crusty bread roll, 3-4 kinds of processed pork product, pâté, mayo, chilies, coriander, shallots, carrot, soy and another special sauce.

Minced meat with red cabbage. Served with mashed potatoes.

Screw it. I want KFC today.

Queso chicken from the nice Mexican place not far from work. Found out you can just call in and pick up an order, so might visit them a bit more often now.

<Movie fast-forwards through a montage of Orthos ordering queso chicken twice per day, every day, and we find him in his deathbed with a doctor looking at his lab results sternly>

Doctor: "This is the worst case of queso chicken intoxication I have ever seen"
Nurse: "But Doctor McHandsome, what can we do?"
Doctor: "You do nothing. I'll take care... of everything"

Then doctor and nurse kiss for the camera while Orthos dies unceremoniously in the background.

Worth it. Off to join the dreaming dead I go~

Today is was orecchiette con sardre (leftover from last night's dinner), homemade pickled beets, an orange, a banana, and a can of Coke Zero.

For me it is one of those QuikTrip sandwiches, which is surprisingly good and rather convenient for me to grab on my bike ride into work. Just until I get a new lunchbox and can start bringing stuff from home again.

Stew, containing:

A huge spring onion, a leek, a red onion, mushrooms, peas, lentils (two kinds), kidney beans, tinned tomatoes, potato, pearl barley, fresh chili and sliced kabanossi, along with vast quantities of paprika and Worcester sauce.

It was the same stew yesterday, and it'll be the same stew tomorrow and for the rest of the week as well. I hate cooking.

I haven't bought potatoes today so now it's minced meat with red cabbage and rice. Ditto tomorrow.

I noticed that newly opened Tesco supermarket near me has a very cheap chicken livers... f I'll get some decent potatoes today I will but some livers and fry them.

Crab fries, chicken wings, a buffalo chicken cheese steak sammich, a beer.

There weren't chicken livers. I bough pork liver but it wasn't as cheap. Still, potatoes and liver fried with apples...

Lunch: ~4 oz of fresh fruit and a glass of oj

Dinner: Probably a hotdog with baked beans

I left my stew at home, so got some Thai noodles with chicken from a new place in the market. It was really, really, really nice.

Liver is on the pan together with apple pieces.

Spicy meatballs with white rice and tomato sauce. Made by my mom. One of my favourites.

I need to figure out how I'm going to fix this shrimp scampi within the next few days. Linguine? Rice?

Note to self: I probably shouldn't bother with pork liver. Next time I should get chicken livers or buy real meat...

Minced meat with tinned peas and equally tinned maize. Plus potatoes. Apple for dessert.

Scarab Sages

Homemade Pasta Salad with sweetpepper, cucumber, green onions, pearl onions, peas and pineapple with a spicy mayonaise and joghurt based dressing.

Mediterranean-ish shrimp scampi w/ rotini, Caesar-ish salad, and iced tea

Current feed: "goulash" soup instant with rice and sandwiches with kielbasa.

Wait, Wendy's now serves Frostys in waffle cones?! Must. resist.

Today's lunch: 1 liter package of chocolate and vanilla ice cream.

Out of tomatoes, and the fridge froze the lettuce, so no club. Therefore...

Lunch: Shaved turkey & bacon sandwich with sriracha-smoky paprika aioli. Too much work to make sweet potato fries, so had it with a side of cottage cheese instead.

Dinner: ???

Potatoes and cabbage thanks to cheap cabbage I bought.

Chips and salsa. The Mexican restaurant I've been to a couple of times includes them with every meal but I don't have room to eat them and the meal, so they've been left over and need to be eaten before they go bad and have to be thrown out.

After a few days of rice with minced meat and peas I am back to cabbage and potatoes.

I've been on a cabbage kick this year. Lately I cannot get enough of the stuff. I don't know why more people don't like it.

Fried remaining potatoes after cutting them into chips with the last kielbasa. Later instant soup with rice.

Hooray!!

I'm going to try out this new arabian food place they opened a block down from the office. I'm dying for some baklava and basboosa.

Leftovers from the massive dinner some friends of the family cooked up yesterday.

All that I currently have in the house is beer and pasta. And the water is out because they are working on the water main right now. So...beer. My stomach is going to love this. :(

EDIT: Ok, found a can of Campbell's chunky soup in the wrong cupboard. Lunch is saved!

Silver Crusade

Half a head of kale.

Spoiler:
That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

1 liter box of vanilla and chocolate ice cream. Also some bread with mortadella and a few apples.

Tomorrow chicken livers fried with apples served with potatoes.

Going to this awesome sandwich place I discovered last mont, called Ciudad Vieja (Old City). It's sort of an early XX Century themed place where they serve some pretty unique sandwiches, such as a hamburger with blue cheese cream + onion jam + pickles + smoked ham, or the infamous "Widow Cat", which is half a metre (about 20 inches) of beef tied with fried potato wire, fried egg, and caramelized onion. All along with a home-brewed beer that, while I personally don't drink, I'm told is among the best in the city.

And it is also surprisingly cheap.

I had leftover Greek food (falafel, rice, part of a salad, some pita bread) packed with me for lunch but I accidentally left it at the train station this morning. Sad angel :(

Salad and pasta. Lunch served as part of a fundraiser for a friend of an employee.

On the good side, you probably made someone happy by accident!

Assuming that the finder wasn't afraid to try leftovers instead of thinking it's spiked with drugs or poison...

Personally, I doubt I would dare eat meal found in such circumstances. Unless I would be hungry homeless.

Hm, good point. Though I suppose it would depend on how succulent the presentation is.

Silver Crusade

It was half-eaten food thrown together in a styrofoam box. And it was at a commuter rail station in an upper Middle class neighborhood. I suspect that no one would be inclined to eat it.

Honey ham, capicola, & cheddar on Italian bread with side of a dozen-ish (homegrown) grape tomatoes.
