Belts: Stoneskin vs. Constitution

Advice

Dark Archive

The Advanced Race Guide added a new item in the Oread section called a Belt of Stoneskin. This belt functions as a tenth level stoneskin spell for a day long period, refreshing each day. It seems to me that I would rather have this than a Belt of Mighty Constitution+6 for a wizard or sorcerer, as it provides much more health than a Belt of Mighty Constitution+6 which wouldn't break even until level 33.

So, I was wondering what other people thought of this trade-off and which they would rather have.

I would take the belt since it also boost fort save. The Dr from stoneskin can also be overcome.

Boosting Con increases:
* Fort saves
* Overall HP versus any attack (spell/physical)
* Maximum negative HP before death
* Number of rounds you can hold your breath
* How "drunk" your character can get

The DR from Stoneskin is quite nice, but not nice enough to completely trade it instead of a +6 Con belt.

You can always chug Stoneskin potions if you really need it.

That said...given that you have Craft Wondrous Items, time, and the funds to do so, you could technically just craft the two together into one item, or craft the Belt of Stoneskin's effect into a different slotted item...
