Automated no-reply PM when a post is moved

Website Feedback

This PM would contain the forum where it was moved to, and would just be a sockpuppet account.

This way people know where their thread ended up if they posted it in the wrong forum.

Can't they just get to it from their Posts tab? (Or Threads tab?)

If they knew it was moved as well as those tabs, I suppose.

If you view the actual forum that a thread was moved from—not merely the forum overview—you'll see moved threads, including the names of the forums they were moved to.

That is to say, http://paizo.com/paizo/messageboards doesn't show them (because we want that overview to highlight active threads in the correct forums), but (for example) http://paizo.com/paizo/messageboards/paizoPublishing/general does show them.

Is there a time-out on when it's no longer shown in the old forum?

THere is not a specific timeout. The "this thread was moved" indicator will just fall into the archives (where it will vanish.) So they last longer in slower forums.

Ah, ok.
