Hi,
I'll be DMing a game in a few weeks and one player has expressed wanting to play an auramancer.
My problem is that I can't find anything in pathfinder or 3.5 that could be considered an auramancer, does anyone know where I could find something that would fit? Has anyone played anything like this before? I wouldn't mind homebrewing something to work but does anyone have any ideas on what said classes special abilities or spells would be?

one idea you could go as is psionics. go as a seer/telepath (Psion) possibly even house ruling a way to combine the two together. The biggest thing you really need to worry about is what spells or powers you go. with the massive selection on spells and powers, going anything like a seer/oracle/cleric/wizard/sorcerer could give you the ability to do what your looking for. The biggest thing is look for spells that affect the mind of your opponents (mind effecting) or scry.
Second note. auramancer is a term that means a char that kills things around the char with arura spells and the like without actually attacking.
Here is a vid from titan quest that will give you an idea of the meaning;

There are a couple psionic powers that do this kind of thing. I'm a little short on time to post them now, unfortunately. The problem is there aren't many and the ones I'm thinking of are a couple levels up on the lists. (can't remember exact names right off unfortunately). If you're willing to homebrew I'd say keep an eye on resource use and the lack there-of. This kind of concept seems like it would lend itself to imbalance easily if you don't watch it just because auras tend to not use slots or use/x as most other things do.
