Just curious how one goes about becoming a Venture-Lieutenant

the information to become a captain is plain ... but nothing about becoming a Lieutenant

Your are nominated by your Venture Captain, and Mike makes the decision if you qualify and if another VL for that area is needed.

Basically you go through your VC, you don't apply through Mike directly.

My question on here, as I am looking at becoming a Venture-Lieutenant, is do lieutenants still get all the benefits of Captains?

Not to put too fine a point on it., but if "what do we get?" makes a difference between wanting to be a VO and help build a local PFS community, or not...

Nope.

But, what Mike said.

And you need to be able to detail cars, carry heavy boxes for when they bring all there (VC) stuff to con or in case of Bob that 7o pound "Bone Keep" map he made, stand all day for when you run HQ, know where cleaners are so can pick up that red shirt they get dry cleaned and ECT... :)

Venture Lieutenants do not get the same rewards as Venture Captains. They have to abide by the legal agreements that Venture Captains agree to, and they have responsibilities assigned to them by the Venture-Captain that recruits them. They get access to some Pathfinder Society related material, and the ability to run the -EX scenario each season. That's about it.

In my area, I look for people who are already doing the work that I need a Lieutenant to be doing. (That's how I got my job, so it works) I ask them to organize a regular event in their assigned area, GM at least once a month at that event and run games at local conventions. Every Venture-Captain will have their own requirements.

Oh, and you have to fetch drinks when the VC's glass is empty. That's very important. :)

The things...the horrible things...I had to do and tolerate to be branded VL...you just reminded me of them. The memory alone hurts....again....arg!

Support your local VC as much as possible.
Then the cult of Lissala will hunt you down and brand you. If you survive this THEN:
You fall into a dream-coma. Once you meet your spirit animal in the dreamscape THEN:
You need to eat a Axebeak's bloody raw heart in front of a tribe of chanting Shoanti. If you keep it down THEN:
Defeat the Destroyer of Worlds. If you can beat him then Mike Brock casts Greater Teleport to your exact location and there is a ceremony that sort of resembles this.

Hope this helps!

Exactly how it happens...

Specifically, I am wondering about access to all the PDFs

VLs duties are whatever their VC needs them to do. Generally it means running games at one or more public venues, helping out at conventions, and participating in public forums.

For this VLs get all the PFS Scenarios for free, a limited Herolabs PFS license, the ability to run the Exclusive each year even if you are not a 4-star GM yet, the right to buy and wear a green VL polo, access to the private venture officer messageboard, access to sign up to GM at PaizoCon and GenCon before regular GMs and the experience that gives you a better chance to become a VC if your VC leaves or you move to an area that needs one.

When it comes down to it, these things just help you be a better VL. You'll definitely be spending more money than the benefits you get as a VL as you need to cover travel expenses, rulebook purchases, printing costs, etc.

I believe in Andrei's case he was forced to kill his Predecessor as a test of strength and tactical planning.

Nonsense!

I cast Silent Image and Ghost Sound to distract the beast then used stealth and Dimension Door to bypass the encounter. You still earn experience for coming up with creative solutions to encounters.
