I'm setting up an archaeologist bard for PFS, and as such, I'm going to end up with a decent INT and several ranks in Linguistics. I was just wondering which languages tend to come up really often in early-level PFS play.
He's Mwangi, so he already knows Polyglot. Thanks in advance for any advice.
As I understand it, Osiriani is used a lot. Which has the advantage of being an excellent choice thematically as well.
Other than that, no idea.
Ancient thassalonian will probably come up in the new season.
Season 3 is all about Tien-xi. I've seen that one come up a lot.

Ancient Osiriani comes up a lot.
OK, so my current languages are Common, Ancient Osiriani (which fits, sits my character is Osirion faction, anyway), Polyglot, and Thassilonian, and I have 1 more language left to purchase from my rank in Linguistics.
Thanks again.

oo right. Especially with diplomacy. Lots of kobolds running around at low levels.
If your Bard is the sort that plans to do a lot of summoning (I believe the common wisdom is "don't do it, play a Sorc or Summoner instead if you're that insistent on summoning", but the option is certainly there), then it should be mentioned that Auran, Aquan, Ignan, and Terran are useful for controlling Elemental summons.
Otherwise, the others have made the better suggestions already.
Kelish & Jistka can be of benefit.
Thassilonian, as mentioned. Sounds like it is going to be the go-to language for Season 4.
Tien and dialects for Season 3 (Ruby Phoenix is in Tien)
Ancient Azlanti (lots of places)
Ancient Osiriani (We are tomb robbers, you know)
Draconic for kobolds
Goblin for goblins
As mentioned, the language appropriate for the template attached to any summons you do.

Ancient Osiriani also gives you Osiriani for free (albeit with a strong accent.)
