Well, if Traveller tops Rappan Athuk by $140, blame me. :-P
It's worth noting that the shipping is already included in the Traveller total. I suspect it'd make a big difference to the relative totals if both were on the same footing, either including or excluding.

Absolutely! Probably about $24,000 if not more in shipping costs that Traveller is including in their total that we are not.
Okay I want to comment on another post but I can't figure that out so I'm going to double post. ug.

I was wondering if there will be any possibility that the GM Screen(not the pdf version) will be available after the funding either from FFG or at the survey for extra cost?
For other swag items (GM Screens, Mats, Posters, Decals, etc) not collectible items (i.e. not 7B) we will offer on the survey as a highest pledge comes first kind of deal.
For example on the survey you may indicate that you want an extra GM screen and we will dole them out as indicated starting with the highest pledge. When we are out we are out. Make sense? You will have the option to add additional books from our regular product line if you are trying to save on shipping too.
Also someone asked about Gen Con. I will be there and Paizo will be selling our books.

If it turns out that Traveller5 has the most money pledged Frog God Games has nothing to be ashamed of. I see that FGG raised almost the same amount of funds with half the number of backers. That says a lot about the quality of product that FGG puts out and the loyalty they have engendered in the RPG community. All in all, well done FGG.
Just my 2 cp.

Silverhair-Thanks, that means a lot.
We have always strived to put out the best products we could, and the show of support from the fans just means we have been hitting the mark.
here's to many more years of gaming!

To be fair to T5, many upper-middle tiers offer little more than a title. Those middle tiers offer no substantial material product beyond the book. That's quite a hardcore fan-base.
Traveller also doesn't have a comparable offering to a subscription plan for an expansion built into their Kickstarter. At something like 230 subscribers already in for an additional $50 each, that's somewhere between $11k - $12k of RA's total that's not the immediate primary product, but will instead be completed after the main RA product ships.
Then let's not forget the backer discount on FGG's catalog of Slumber Tsar, Black Monastery, and Tome of Horrors, etc. Traveller isn't offering an extensive library of already published books. There was a significant uptick of pledges the day the FGG discount become a backer perk (again, at least double digit thousands). Don't get me wrong, that move was genius. I decided to snatch up products I wasn't even considering. Well played Frogs, well played.
Beyond a broad category and perhaps a few characteristics, the two projects aren't comparable. That both are racing each other for the record of print RPG is a good sign the various segments of the greater community is alive and well.

Arg, trying to figure out whether I can cram in some S&W stuff since it looks like I'm probably going to end up pledging to that KS too *rolls eyes and sighs heavily*
Any chance you'll have the discounted books and pdfs as additional options on that KS too? I think that would work out better for me (especially with shipping, going to be interesting fitting ST and RA + goodies from the $250 pledge in one box as it is :s)
Status:
865 vs 1960 backers
$229,663 vs $276,366
$46,703 to catch up with 38 hours left to go...

Sorry for obnoxious TL;DR, but - what level does this whole thing start at? Can I run a level 1 party? I have a strange tingle of starting a new gaming group of horrible munchkins just for this one...
Yes. The original material started at 5th level or so. This version has been expanded with content to start the party at level 1.
evil grin...

We added level 1-4 material called the Mouths of Madness--some of you saw bits of it in Dallas in my games. There are actually 3 dungeons in the main book (Mouths, Frog Temple and RA itself). Zelkor's Ferry (the town) has many adventure hooks for lower level guys. RA itself is really for level 6+ (in the upper levels). You can run it all the way to epic levels though.
Its me, so its not very munchkin. Think gritty and hard, with lots of running and avoidance of monsters involved. Diplomacy and problem solving (I am well known for my puzzles and traps)play in heavily in all my writing.
If people try to "clear levels" and videogame style this...well, they will have atough time.

Something I never noticed before, Alexandrian Creations has some homebrew Rappan Athuk material over here if anyone is interested in some old 3.5 material. :)

OK, I'm in; this is my first kickstarter, and I'm psyched to see RA in PF.
I do have one question: when I was going through the payment process, I didn't see any place to indicate what version of RA I requested(Pathfinder or S&W). Am I supposed to choose when the survey comes? Did I miss something? I just don't want anything to go sideways on this, especially if I can help it.

Wow, I read that blog regularly, and I've never noticed that material! Thanks, that will be some more fun stuff to pitch in!

So... will you put up a $250.000 bonus goal, for the final stretch? Pwetty pwease?
If we reach $250,000 in pledges, all physical product will be shipped in a box that is filled (except the space taken up by the product and packing) with air that Bill Web has breathed.
Also, as a free bonus, every strip of packing tape used on the boxes contains at least one collectable Bill Webb fingerprint. That's right! You may get some Frog DNA as a bonus!
Now... go raise your pledge so we get this awesome stuff.
