Adventure Path feedback?

Advice

I usually find a stand alone first level adventure when starting groups and then build off that and make a completely original story. I have a new group starting soon and I would like to know all of your experiences with the Adventure Paths by Paizo? Do they advance the characters enough experience point wise? Do they provide enough diversity in the encounters? Would you suggest adding in more encounters or changing a few up? I looked through Rise of the Runelords and it seems like a lot of goblins, goblin dogs and not much else. Let me know your pros and cons of it. Thanks.

Liberty's Edge

The first adventure of RotRL has goblins. Once you progress beyond that, it is much much much more than just goblins and goblin dogs. There are encounters throughout the entire adventure path that allows all types to shine, though some more than others. More importantly, these adventure paths require the group to work together as one rather than as four or five or six individuals. They are definitely worth looking into.

Yeah the APs tend to have themed segments. RotRL especially. Believe me, you'll fight MUCH more than goblins, though there are a lot of those as well.

I'm playing through it right now (not running) and it has been very amusing. I will caution, however, it's not for the squeamish.

Paizo greater strength is the Adventure Paths imho. RotR and CoCT are the best ones imho, with Kingmaker and CC being close.
