Shatter spell

Could you use this on a door or a wall? What about a bridge?

Sovereign Court

PRD:
...you can target shatter against a single solid nonmagical object, regardless of composition, weighing up to 10 pounds per caster level. Targeted against a crystalline creature (of any weight), shatter deals 1d6 points of sonic damage per caster level (maximum 10d6), with a Fortitude save for half damage.

So, yes you can damage a door or even a bridge with the spell. Keep in mind the 10 lbs/caster level limit for the target however.. or else it'll be immune to the spell. A wall will usually be out of the question, but flimsier ones inside buildings probably are quite doable. Just don't expect to use the spell for sonic tunnelling through solid rock.

if the door or wall or bridge falls with in the weight limit based upon caster level imposed by the spell I don't see why not...

even if the what you want to shatter is too large, a little creativity can often lead to the same results (door to big? shatter the hinge, etc).

Sorry to necro but I can't find an answer to this:

How much does an average wooden door or a sailing ship's steering wheel or a rudder weight?
I can find hardness, thickness, hitpoints and plenty of stuff... but no weight table?

lots of weights

thanks for the door weight table :-)
somehow I couldn't find it

now I need to find the ship parts too (wheel, rudder)
