Why Wait?
Because I want to know what is on the Table...
In the past we have suggested, Scenario Discounts, Free Scenarios, Bonus scenarios. But all of those have been shot down. I am waiting because I want to see if they are back on the table and if not what direction he was thinking on going with them so I am at least suggesting something that has a chance of getting implemented.

Just decided it wasn't a big deal when I had more information.
Yeah I have never shied away from arguing for the small things..;), to afraid of ton of small things building up to a big thing so I like trying to stop them before they start.

My argument is for those that got to play Midnight Mauler before general release but not Cyphermage Dilemma before general release.
You must have skipped the part of my post where I said that for the problem assume that:
People who played MM before general release = people who will get to play Cyphermage Dilemma before general release.
I'm sure if you reread it, it'd make more sense. ;)

People who played MM before general release = people who will get to play Cyphermage Dilemma before general release.
And like I said, there is your problem there. That is a False assumption.
Just because they played Midnight Mauler does not Auto = they can play Cyphermage Dilemma and that is my argument.
That is why I am saying you are not addressing my argument.

Im aware you cant automatically say it, but really there is no other way around it. Paizo is going to keep doing these, the way they are, as they havent yet received any better suggestions (which theyve offered to let you give).
Im going to just leave this thread alone now before the Postmonster General has to give me a warning for flaming or baiting.

Everything is on the table. It is whatever makes sense to me and that I can then go and sell to my bosses. So, don't wait. Let me hear all thoughts on a new thread.

Not necessarily.
In my area of the world, we lost our old VC, who is not a 4-star or higher GM, so he will not be able to run the new special.
So, that leaves us, in this area, with only our VC able to run the special, where, last year, we had two people who could do so.
And, of course, the one who was running it at as many locations as possible was the then-VC, so that is out. But, on the other hand, it also means that, while I will be able to run the older special now, there will be a lack of an available player pool for me to run it for.
I think, while my area is not the same area as Dragnmoon is from, I can definitely see his concerns.
For me, the release of Midnight Mauler is not likely to prove more than a curiosity, since there is not much of a player pool available to run it for for me locally.

There always will be some area that has more problems getting to play the exclusive.
At the same time there are more and more GMs overall who can GM it. And there is the option to wait a year. Then you don't have to complain next year.
I'm sorry for your area. But for the UK we should go from a single VC last year to 1 VC, 1 VL (both also 4 stars) and I aim to be ready soon as well.
88 credits now and I'm leaving to a 5 day Con next week. To me the exclusive is an incentive to be on 100 by first week March and not 2 month later.
I like the fact that I get rewarded for all the time and effort I spend.
Rewards are seldom just for everyone. But I think Paizo is trying hard to do a very good job.

Thod,
I am a depressive type, so it probably colors my thinking. However, I was attempting merely to point out what I saw as Dragnmoon's concern, and that it is not just a concern for his area, but for other areas.
PFS, in my area, seems to be very seasonal, so right now I am having problems getting tables to go off; and I am not hearing of ANY other GM in my area even trying to put any tables together.
With the change of VC in my area, communications, what there was of it, has (hopefully temporarily) ceased. The new VC has said he was going to be sending out an email to local GMs to get communications flowing. So far, I haven't seen said email.
Locally, all the RPG information I have seen generally disseminated has been through the new local game day coordinator's efforts, and he only covers the once-a-month game day events, not organized play in general.
Of the past nine games I was scheduled to GM, only three of them have actually happened. 33% may be great as a batting average, but for GMing sessions, it is not good.
Maybe it means that I am, despite players saying otherwise when I ask them for feedback after each session, a bad GM and should just give up. I don't know anymore.

Again, re-read my post. I said in the post that its not going to be exactly the same (meaning it wouldnt be the exact same people most likely) BUT considering we now have more VCs than we did a year ago, and adding in VLs and more 4stars, chances are the NUMBER of people who get to play it will AT LEAST equal, if not be greater than, the number that got to play the last one.

I want to say that Midnight Mauler did not win me over at first. It was a great story and had much potential but I had issues with it. After running it over a dozen time I must say it is a very good scenario full of the drama and excitement you would expect of a Exclusive release. I hope everyone enjoys it the first time as much as I did after running four times. Don’t see this as a slight on Midnight Mauler. It took me a while to love the wild side. Now I look forward to actually getting able to play it. That is unless everyone around here has already.

I for one like the format and the current way to do things. Everyone for whom I ran the 'Mauler seemed happy to play and take part in some "exclusive" content that had to be run by a quality GM (Yes, I believe I am a quality (nasty, evil, unrelenting and vicious, but quality)GM).
I look forward to offering 3-EX to the folks in Colorado. (Again and Again)
