I think I quite like where we're going with this concept.

You know, I tire of being heroic in all the campaigns I'm in. We should all take most of our classes in commoners briefly dipping into bard or something along the way or something.

For this one all of us should be mere halfling couriers and every NPC should outclass us at every turn. Toss in a few rangers a fighter or two and an epic level wizard to accompany us and kill all the baddies and I think we're set.

Ah, LOTR reference.

@ Walt - I would actually love to play that It would be awesome. We would have to just focus on running and hiding and staying alive. Would be great fun!

I endorse this.

First game you'll ever optimize by taking the feats Run and Skill Focus (hide).

Don't forget 'fleet'!

Hahaha! Oh yeah! They'd be my choices. I'd also dip in to Barbarian for one class, if I was allowed, just to get the extra movement!

So...is a choker or a derro more appropriate for a being obsessed with an evil artifact?

I wonder how hard we could get the gm to laugh while still taking the situation dead seriously.

Ooooh. That's hard. Chokers are in for the whole 'destruction of the world' thing, and they do lurk like a mother. On the other hand, Derros are crazy and have the split-personality thing going on.

I'd say derro.

@ Ringtail -Hmmm. Choker. Derro would be funny but... Choker even has the name for it like!

@ Bergi -It would be a damn good game to play in or to GM thats for sure.

Nobody ruin things by buying a scroll of charm animal.

Buy?! We will have money? hahaha

...stealing...yeah, stealing.

Oooh! That would be awesome. Steal hide and run through a campaign.

But I like earning things legitimately! Of course, if it were for the better good, and it's just a little thing that won't be missed... and we BORROW it...

Of course of course... Just borrow... When we do not need it any more we can return it. No worries! :)

Now we need to find a GM.

Yes, yes we do! -Nods-

OH RINGTAIL? Hahaha

It's funny how everyone here seems to know eachother.

Haha! I'm in one of Ringtails games, that's how I know him. I don't really know many other than him though.

Everybody knows Ringtail. Except for, you know...those that don't.

I think I posted in his ooc thread via noobish mistake.

OH RINGTAIL? Hahaha

I wouldn't be the best person to run a LotR parody (I've never made it all of the way through the first book nor the first movie).

However, I have run a campaign for an all dwarf party. Dwarf fighter, wizard, rogue, and cleric. It was the single most formidable party I've ever gamed with.

Ringtail - Hahaha! Well said as ever boss! -Salutes Ringtail-

Bergi - Hahaha! You did. I was in that thread! :)

@Flitter: Ever read DM of the Rings? I imagine it would play out in a similar fashion.

I think 1PC class for every 3 NPC classes would do nicely for the hobbits.

Doesn't have to be a parody really, just an all Halfling party! :P Hahaha

Waltz - I haven't actually. Looking at it now though

Seems about right. That is good. 3 to 1 works!

It's cool. Most of us here are pretty laid back, and it led to plenty of entertainment here.

Exactly! :) We are nice calm people... Most of us! Hahaha

Waltz - Oh my god... This is hilarious. Thank you!

@Flitter: Anytime. :) A similar concept is done with Darths & Droids with star wars except it's currently ongoing and they've finally got past the prequels and are on the original trilogy.

Now I can't really help just wishing we could do it! Maddening!

Waltz - Haha! Awesome. Ill check that out too. Cheers.

Bergi - I am sure we can find a GM somewhere. :)

Flitter, that would be awesome, and Waltz, that comic is Hilarioptyrix.
Ringtail... dude. I haven't met a gm this nice to an aspiring halfling since my first.

Beat me to the DM of the Rings link. It wasn't my intention to go there...

But, epic level wizard? Pshaw. Didn't you know Gandalf was only a 5th level magic user? I personally think he's a gestalt paladin/wizard, or even just a paladin with a sweet magic item. Shadowfax is a paladin mount if ever there was one.

I have actually thought way too much about the fight between the Witch King of Angmar, Eowyn, and Merry, in D&D/PF terms. I'm left with the conclusion that Merry has a +1 undead-bane ghost-touch weapon, and the witch king has DR 20/female.

Hmmm. Wizard/Paladin huh? That is cool. I think you may be right, on all counts!

That would explain all the knowledge religion.

Of the Paizo APs, I think all-halfling Kingmaker would be awesome. Halflings need a kingdom of their own!

Oooooh.... "Kingmaker: The Pint-Sized Prince". Hahaha! Yes. That would be so damn awesome.

Gordon, I would kill to play any of the suggested rps thus far, Kingmaker included. Besides, we're exploited as slaves in Pathfinder, so why not rise up and take tha powah?

Aren't Halflings only Slaves in Cheliax?

Flitter Whistle wrote:

Not where my gm was concerned.

-____________- Because we had your beast people, your less-hungry hobgoblins, etc.

Hmm I could be wrong of course. But if not... Then your GM is a jerk. Poor Halflings!

There are definitely halfling slaves in Katapesh too. Probably everywhere that slaves are legal, and a number of places they aren't.

But I mean like Halflings aren't seen as "Oh look. More slaves" anywhere but Cheliax right? I mean if a Halfling is not a slave in Katapesh then he is just a Halfling not a potential slave. Man... How do I say this right?! Haha Tongue tied. Its the 7am curse...

Halflings are perfect slaves because of their small stature so upkeep is minimal. Arguably gnomes would do better, but if you lock them in a closet for a week they could very well die from the bleaching (i.e. gnomish death by boredom) plus dwarfs are too surly and organized to be proper slave candidates.

I imagine all other nations in Golarion that have outlawed slavery don't distinguish between slavery and "A life-time of indentured servitude for debts owed"

Though, yes I do believe Cheliax is the only place where halflings are primarily slaves exclusively.

That's because being nice is easy. I can only muster the energy to mean to those that really deserve it; then I flash the horns and go to town. Snarky? Sure. But mean? Meh.

Would suggesting Council of Thieves be racist?

In my RotRL table game (currently level 11), I have a player who has a halfling rogue who enjoys ticking off Chelish colonists with his enormous skill modifiers who think that a halfling's place is to be a slave; so I play them up crazy over the top with their prejudices for him. It gets to be pretty entertaining, especially since the player is crazy lucky in die rolls (appropiately, I suppose).

I think I lied if I said my last halfling was a swashbuckler. About 1.5 years ago I played through most of Shackled City as Tyson Core, halfling cleric of Yondalla/monk. Completely forgot about that little guy.

THANK YOU WALTZ! Hahaha. That is exactly what I was trying to say. My mind was melted by the hour though.

Council of Thieves would be hilarious. It would be a perfect reason for them to be adventuring. -Nods-

I do have my CoT books just collecting dust on my shelf...

Darn it, Flit. You people are going to burn me out if I'm not careful.

...

Edit: I just said "you people" to a group of halflings, didn't I?

What do you mean by YOU people? Hold me back... RACIST!

Hahaha Aww am sorry Ringtail. But you know it would be fun! :D

I'm seriously considering it now; but I am worried as to keeping my posting speed up with the two games I'm running in PbP, and the two games I'm playing in PbP. One more would stretch me to my limit.
