Greyflame?

Rules Questions

Im confused as to what this addition to a weapon does.

So it gives it a +1, lasts 1 round per D6 of channel energy, counts as good and silver for damage reduction, but how much damage does it actually do? It says a D6 but then it talks about the flame strike spell... Thoughts?

You get the +1 damage from the higher enhancement bonus.

And the damage type is divine, the same as flamestrike. Basically, nothing can resist this damage.

So it's only the 1D6+1, similar to Flaming with some additional benefits?

Yep, it's essentially 1d6+1, but A) the extra damage can't be resisted, B) your weapon counts as a higher enhancement bonus for the purposes of damage reduction piercing, C) it counts as Good and Silver.

It's not so bad at later levels, once it'll last for a few rounds and if you don't plan on using Channel Energy. I quite like it myself.

Im debating between that and flaming since I have 8 channel energies. I'm also a Holy Vindicator so I also need to use those to power my shield and heal the party...

Silver Crusade

Note that you have to have a +1 or more for the enhancement on the weapon, so at the least it would be (weapon)+(other modifiers)+2+1d6, with at least a +2 enhancement bonus to hit while the greyflame is in use. Greyflame is especially good for a Holy Vindicator.
