I'm interested. I sadly have an appointment to get to, but I'll be going with a human gunslinger.
I do, however, have his scores. Rolled using Online Die Roller, let me know if that's no good. 4d6 to a stat as follows, and a +2 bonus to Wis as a human and +1 to both Wis and Dex for the Lv4 bonus..
STR 10 DEX 18 CON 14 INT 14 WIS 18 CHA 10.
Will post a more in-depth bio later.
I'd much rather you roll using the diceroller here. Nothing against you but I'd just like to have everyone on an even playing field.

A single +1 arrow costs 40gp, a single +2 arrow costs 160. It's a little expensive, but a +1 giant bane arrow at the right time can make a world of difference!
Indeed, sometimes you just need that extra push, at early levels, especially when you're on the cusp of fighting creatures with DR/Magic or something like that. That one lucky shot with a bane arrow can mean the difference between a TPK and survival.

At the moment I've got more or less finished characters from:
-Volty who is looking to play Cruroar Woodsoul
-Kydeem de'Morcaine who is looking to play Lavode de'Morcaine
-therealthom who is looking to play Thale Nyus
-GeraintElberion who is looking to play Velana
-who is looking to play
And a number of partials:
-JMG021283 who is looking to play Charon Warblade
-CanyonR who is looking to play Acen Sterling
-Verecloth who is looking to play a gunslinger
Let me know if I've overlooked you.

Dolelan Callennan |

Let me know if I've overlooked you.
I (loimprevisto) would like to play Dolelan Callennan, Elven Bard 4 with the Archivist variant from APG. Stats are in the character's profile and follow the dice rolls posted earlier in the thread with elven attribute modifiers and the 4th level adjustment applied to intelligence and dexterity.
I have a character history in mind, but I'd like to know if there are any academic or historical institutes in your setting that would make a fit into my background.

Cruroar Woodsoul |

Cruroar Woodsoul wrote:Added some scrolls, another wand. Just waiting on a ruling about the armor. If its too much, lemme know. :)Ummm....No? 16k over what I give you as a free item is not to use your words "a little over"
The wild enchantment is a +3 bonus price equivalent which is WAY over your entire allotment of gold. It's a single item with a static +1 bonus.
Haha, alright. I wasnt sure how much it would cost. Errr, sure I cant give back like 500 gold? It seems like an appropriate price to me... yeah...
Updated with more sane armor.

loimprevisto |

@Cruroar: Color Spray and shield are arcane scrolls, as a druid you would need the use magic device skill to have a chance of using them successfully. You can use scrolls of any spell on the Druid spellcasting list without needing UMD. Remember, the spells in wands, potions, and scrolls all have a fixed caster level so your wand of summon natures ally I @CL1 is somewhat... mediocre. I noticed that you listed Summon Nature's Ally in your prepared spells. As a Druid, this is unnecessary, you can spontaneously cast any summon nature's ally spell by giving up a prepared spell of the appropriate level.
Also, the fortification enchantment on your armor would cost 3,000gp.
+1 enhancement = 1000gp
+1 enhancement and +1 equivalent for light fortification = 4000gp
difference = 3,000gp.

Cruroar Woodsoul |

Doesnt it still fit w/in the guidelines? +1 enchantment, material not dragonhide/adamantium?
Yeah, this is what happens when I mess around with herolab late at night. I'll update goodies when I have a chance to really focus.
[edit]Looked over the druid stuff, noticed the summon nature's ally being exempted from the prepared spells requirement. Will edit char shortly...

Fortification is an enhancement, not a material.
Your options are things like darkwood, mithril, ironwood and silver.
My character went for a +1 Darkwood Light Crossbow as my fancy item.

Cruroar Woodsoul |

I think I see the problem. This is annoying because IRL it would have been like a 20sec conversation, lol. And yes, I understand fort isnt a material.
I thought +1 meant that I pick one +1 bonus thing for the item. In this case, the fortification. What it really means is that the item gets a +1 enchantment. Adding fort would make it +1/+1 (or +2, I guess).
Correct? lol, completely new at this, trying to learn, and the PRD is anything but explanatory.
[edit]Alright. I now pronounce me finished (excepting a few fun items that I'll handle later, when I'm not on my phone.)

Divine magic is quite common throughout the countryside as almost every town has at least a Chapel or Shrine. Arcane magic is a bit more rare, the only Schools of magic are in the Capital city of Morhurst or the Academy in the west called Eastbridge.
Alternatively there are wandering spellcasters that can act as teachers.

Roshan |

Um, Roshan... I'm not on your list. Is there something I'm missing?
Sorry, like I said before if you're not on the list let me know, it's a lot of posts to crawl through.

Legiald Galsaran |

HP: 3d10 ⇒ (3, 5, 9) = 17
I was going to be a half elf archer, but switched to human switch hitter- Guide archetype- due to the group's potential lack of melee ability. Nightskies' ranger. Had a back story that got chewed up last night, but I'll get that up on the profile right away. His attributes make him perform below par, so I was hoping you'd allow a custom item to help bump up his contribution.
Heavy Hand Gauntlet - 1000 gp - 5 lbs
Upon this steel gauntlet is the inscription "A heavy hand and heart". Up to three times a day on command, this heavy gauntlet increases the size damage category of a bow, crossbow or bladed weapon used in that hand for 1 minute as per the spells Lead Blades and Gravity Bow.
It should cost about 960 gp not counting the cursed aspect. The -1 about halves its effectiveness even in later levels.

Dolelan Callennan |

My character is complete now. The background is a bit more scattered than my usual prose, but it gets the point across. Please let me know if there are any issues.
The butterfly shaped birthmark on his right hand had always been of note, but until he ventured out from the Academy Dolelan didn't give it much thought. One night just after sunset he was strolling down the road and began to hear heart-wrenchingly perfect music from a harp. He hurried toward the sound and began to notice a glow like moonlight coming from the mark on his hand; by the time he arrived it shone like the full moon. It revealed a beautiful lillend playing before a wayside shrine; she smiled at Dolelan and brought her song to a close then turned to the shrine, placed something at its base, then vanished with a final smile in his direction. Bemused, Dolelan examined the object and found it to be a large scrollcase. He read and reread and memorized the scrolls and in time came to count himself among the faithful.

Honestly I'd rather not get into the habit of letting people offset magical item costs, if I allow it it sets a precedent "You let him have it why not me" kind of thing.
I'll let you pick up a normal magic item that does that (the lead blades and gravity bow) and have it have the same aesthetics.

Legiald Galsaran |

So- Legiald can have a gauntlet that does that, without the curse, at 960g? I don't really know how much merging Gravity Bow and Lead Blades into one would equate to, if anything, so I figured throwing in the extra 40g and curse to offset as you said, just in case. So, the question becomes, how much does merging these two spells into one mishmash become? The intent was to work with whatever weapon was being held in the gauntlet only. I can afford it being up to 1500g with some gear changes.
Alternatively, a gauntlet of Divine Favor (command use, 3 charge/day) should be 960g, rather straightforward. And optimally better than the cursed gauntlet... would this be better for simplicity's sake too?

Waltz |

Hmmmm.. I'll go ahead and throw my hat in. Going for a Tiefling Blade-Bound Magus. If the race is allowed.
STR:3d6 ⇒ (1, 6, 4) = 11
DEX:5d6 ⇒ (2, 5, 2, 6, 6) = 21
CON:6d6 ⇒ (4, 2, 1, 4, 2, 4) = 17
INT:5d6 ⇒ (3, 6, 6, 3, 4) = 22
WIS:4d6 ⇒ (5, 2, 2, 1) = 10
CHA:3d6 ⇒ (1, 4, 3) = 8
After Racial/Lvl4 modifiers: (+2DEX/+2INT/-2CHA/+1DEX/+1WIS/(round 5CHA to 6)
STR:10/DEX:20/CON:12/INT:18/WIS:10/CHA:6
All Favored Class put into HP.
HP:
Lvl 1: 8 + 1 + 1 = 10
Lvl 2: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
Lvl 3: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
Lvl 4: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
HP: 34
Free Item: +1 Mithril Agile Breast Plate.
Will, draw up an Alias and full stat-block/description in an hour.

Actually that would be 1,080 gp for the Divine Favor Gauntlet.
(Spell Level 1 x Caster Level 1 x 1800 /(5/3) = 1,080)
But yes, that would be way easier.

@Charon: Looks good. You might want to note that the weapon focus comes from the 2nd rogue level... it took me a minute to figure it out.
"SQ Trapfinding +1" shows up under the equipment tab.
Also, you might want to separate out the magic items in the equipment section (it was easy to overlook the haversack), but other than that I didn't see any problems.

Good call, I switched and fixed it. Thanks really appreciate it!

Any chance recruitment is still open? I would like to play a half-orc fighter whose preferred weapon is a Glaive-Guisarm.
Indeed, Registration is now closed. I'll be checking over your characters over the next couple days and inform you guys by Friday evening what the final party makeup is. Make whatever last minute changes you need to and post when your character is 100% ready for checking.

Keep in mind that your dex is only +5, you get 5 AoO's per turn. Also, you get 2 advances at 4th level instead of just 1. You get a +1 in another attribute (you cannot however select the same attribute).

Roshan |

I double-checked everything and I believe I'm ready for the final review.
lol it's funny that you got universal solvent, our halfling was glued to the barbarian the other day and it took almost 3 days to get him unstuck, mostly because we were laughing half the time. It's good to have on hand apparently.
It looks good, nothing really jumps out at me as wrong.

Nera Turvian |

I hope putting the finishing touches on my character didn't disqualify me for entry, as I threw her up just before the deadline.
Anyways I pretty much have everything 100% completed including; encumbrance (if your crazy about weight), skills with ACP, Major/Mundane equipment, All my spells w/ links to description, Backround/Appearance/Personality/Role, and class/racial features.
The only thing I didn't mess with was my black-blades alignment/motivation as that's the GM's decision. Though, I'm up for RPing it as her dead husbands soul and thus Chaotic-Good/protect her.
If anythings incorrect let me know and I'll edit it promptly. I'm in CST time zone. I usually post once in the morning once at night. Thanks for the consideration if I made it in time.
Good Luck everybody else! Happy gaming!

loimprevisto |

You can never be too careful :) Universal solvent is cheap enough that I keep some on hand with pretty much every character I create. Heck, if I have craft (alchemy) then I make a batch or two whenever we have some downtime...
For some reason one of the changes I made last night didn't take... I swapped the knowledge (arcana) ranks with profession (priest) to reflect his status as a priest of Desna.

It looks good, there are no big mistakes that jump out at me. For the most part your Black Blade will have an alignment and goals in line with your own.

Soveriegn glue... Good to have on hand; bad to have on your hands.
