I will GM Eyes of the Ten at MACE West. Level up your characters in the next few weeks and get ready for a stellar adventure arc.

Grand Lodge 4/5 *

You heard the VC!!! Get thee to 12th level post-haste!

Sovereign Court

OK, I'm playing the module session after this ... that will get me to 10.2 (or 11 if I can get in a session before that weekend).

Also, I may run a high level module as well the following session (need to see what I have on hand ... though I do have a good number of higher level modules as well as the Shattered Star and RotR APs to pull from ... come, play in the runeforge ... mwahahahaha!!!!)

HOLY MACKEREL WE HAVE A LOT OF PEOPLE SIGNED UP FOR TOMORROW.

Don't believe me?

WARHORN don't lie.

Back-up GMs (Andy in the AM, Galen in the PM)....you are officially on stand-by.

You're going to want to be at the APL this Saturday for some COOL announcements. And maybe even a boon or two.

I'm so sad I'm missing these epic grand lodge days. Stupid work...

I'll drop by in the evening and see if I can pawn off any of these 2nd run blood under shirts. If I can't find the people who preordered them by the end of this month, they may go up for grabs. I'll post names of those I still haven't gotten in touch with. If you think its you, let me know and I'll check my list. Also, bring $10 or buy me a map.

In other news, I'll be running Dungeon Crawl Classics on Sunday at 3pm. If you want to try something new, or have been brutally murdered by the blackros museum/family, sign up at the TWT warhorn

There may or may not be free swag from the publisher. If not this week, certainly next. See you then!

Grand Lodge 4/5 *

How have I missed out on this separate Wyvern's Tale Warhorn page?

There has been some interest in a High level game at an off-time non-lodge day... I will put this out there for your consideration... March 25th is a Monday that I will have off... I'd be happy to run one of the 7-11 season 0s that I have on deck... who thinks they would like to play in one of those?

Shadow Lodge 2/5

Potential snowpocalypse and kidney stone has cancelled my plans to join tomorrow. Have fun, y'all and see ya next time.

Ok, to those who were in the Blakros Matrimony this morning at the lodge with me, here's the poem we commissioned from a "lousy" bard as our wedding present. (This was communally written by everyone at the table, as the worst poem ever)

Spoiler - Some Blakros Matrimony details included:

Wedding gift to the Blakros newlyweds, a (very bad) poem:

There once was a wedding on paroil
With a groom that wasn't morose
And a bride that wasn't too gross
And guests laughter in large dose
All the guests raise glasses in toast

The bride and groom were not coy
The island guests, with cheer, celebrate
The services proceeded with great joy
The couple in matrimony didn't deliberate
Maybe they will soon birth a boy

The Blakros and kaster family joining loom
Away they left into for a honeymoon
For a marriage elevated by the silver spoon
Nothing in Golarion bringing them doom
Future so bright for the new bride and groom

So good luck there is no turning back
Until death or divorce do you part
Man and being go together
Times pass slow, like stormy weather

Hope ya'll will love each other.
Groom trading being a knight for a good wedding night
And hope to the groom that the bride won't
Regret this decision and go with your brother
Maybe instead, just the occasional lover.

The Exchange 5/5

Lev wishes to express his overwhelming pride and honor to have cheated death once again with his esteemed comrades.... the one known as Uncle, Mr. Villini, the veiled bomber, and Akashi....until next time...

Thanks for everyone letting me take some photos at the lodge last night. Here's the Photo gallery on Facebook.

Also, Thanks to Justin for letting me leap off the back of a two headed Dire Bear. Boris's life dream has now been accomplished, and he's only level 1!

No worries. It was a fantastically hilarious and entertaining game. I've still got some SWAG left for next week for interested players. DCCRPG every Sunday @TWT

All the games have been reported. Now I just need to tally Faction points.

I feel heavier, as if weighted down by something extra.....I wonder what that is....

Paul, I said before that I wanted to run "Fortress of the Nail" at the next APL game day, but since people are trying to level up for Eyes of the Ten, I could run "The Refuge of Time" instead.

DUDE>>>>> YOU GOTS THREE STARS AND STUFF!!!

Actually, forget what I said about "The Refuge of Time." I just remembered that the only character I have that's a high enough level to take the credit, is the same one I played it with.

Shall I put you in for "Fortress of the Nail" then, RainyDay?

Actually, now that I look at my calendar, I don't think I'll be able to prep a scenario at all that week. Sorry about the confusion.

If something has fast healing, would that healing happen at the start of its turn or at the creature's turn in the round?

Grand Lodge 4/5 *

Chris Ballard wrote:

There's no RAW, but a brief canvass of the GM collective consciousness seems to point at the beginning of the creature's turn as the time when fast healing occurs.

Interestingly enough, there are RAW supporting the opposite of fast healing - bleed damage takes place at the beginning of the creature's turn. This, in effect, cancels out bleed as an ability that can be used on those creatures. As a GM, I like.

-Dink

Sovereign Court

Only as long as their fast healing is equal to or less than the amount of bleed ... otherwise it just slows it down ;)

though ti has been a point of debate for a while and James Jacobs weighed in as well.

Personally, as Fast Healing is like normal healing accelerated, I would personally rule that if FH matches or exceeds the Bleed, it would stop the bleed effect. If it does not, it would reduce the bleed effect.

Alright, peoples, I looked high and low over the past 2 weeks to make sure that I've accounted for all APL-based games, including:

Monday WT Games,
Friday WT Games,
Saturday WT Games,
Tuesday Deck Box Games,
and any other "home games" that are listed as APL - Compass Direction

If I have missed something, it is because it has not been reported. I am fairly confident that the below is accurate....

UPDATED Faction Tally (as of 3/2/13)

10.) 31PP - Taldor

9.) 36PP - Cheliax

8.) 42PP - Qadira

7.) (tie) 75PP - Andoran, Grand Lodge

5.) 78PP - Sczarni

4.) 80PP - Silver Crusade

3.) 98PP - Shadow Lodge

2.) 131PP - Osirion

1.) 132PP - Lantern Lodge

Lantern and Osirion, Osirion and Lantern....it's like a horse race.

Dark Archive 3/5

Taldor back in it's rightful place. Now to get to work on bringing people into the glorious light of Cheliax.

All hail Cheliax!!

Sovereign Court

Again, using the Taldan tongue to hail Cheliax while putting down the Empire from whence you came before selling your souls for fleeting moments of power ... it is indeed a sorry sight. You have my pity.

Dark Archive 3/5

Keep in mind, my power is for all eternity. Most people's power is only temporary.

Sovereign Court

And truly, what is there worthy to hail in Cheliax? Devils? Demons? Unspeakable things which would sooner consume your soul than give you true power?

Do not fool yourselves. You are slaves to the Outer Planes, yet are too blind by reckless ambition to realize it.

Taldor, however, has the means for those who would seek to rise in station to achieve that goal. We do view ourselves in the best light possible, it is true, but it is not without cause. We have fought back threats to all of Golarion, not welcomed them on to the lands as Cheliax has. We have spread culture far and wide and indeed given the lands of Avistan it's common tongue. We hold the concepts of chivalry, honor and valor to heart, even while we enjoy, though some would say overindulge upon, the fruits of our successes to the fullest.

Even Andoran, though their goals are the idealistic visions of a young nation to be sure, composes itself with honor and valor. It may be they shall have certain levels of success with their experiment in a government of the people (and truly, we hope for that more so than the alternative as has risen in Galt).

What, pray tell, has Cheliax ever done for the lands of Avistan?

Sovereign Court

What was that, my poor Chelaxian cousin? Nothing? Devil has your tongue, perchance? ;)

Dark Archive 3/5

The great denizens of hell make great servants to the great citizens of Cheliax. The Chelaxians try to show how living an orderly life with servants helps to propel a nation to greatness.

The Taldans obviously don't know anything about true power, as they can't control their own subjects. Just look at how Sargava was able to successfully rebel against you and break away from you.

Those unruly and savage denizens from the abyss don't deserve any mention. Although, Cheliax is willing to show them the light of an orderly society.

Sovereign Court

Ah, my poor Chelaxian cousin. Sargava was a Chelaxian colony which broke away from Cheliax. Your people founded the colony well after you broke away from the Empire. Perhaps you should review your own nation's history cousin? Or are you simply seeking to rewrite history to better serve your masters?

In much the same way that Cheliax, lead by the traitorous Aspex, broke from the Empire (and took additional lands by force as Taldor defended herself from the Qadiran Threat), so too did Andoran, Galt, Isger and Sargava break away from Cheliax.

You held lands nowhere near as extensive as Taldor at her peak and you managed to hold them for a far shorter time than Cheliax was even part of the Taldan Empire. And you look to criticize Taldor on the inability to control it's people? It is to laugh!

As to your claims that the devils are the "servants of the people" of Cheliax, what a naive soul you are! Devils serve none! Should Asmodeus hear you utter such statements (indeed, would not the state church of your nation consider such as blasphemy?), he would surely rip your soul in twain! You are digging yourselves deeper and deeper into the debt of the Infernal forces of Hell with every "favor" that you seek to gain.

Your imperial bureaucracy forces the worship of these things upon their people, damning them to ongoing servitude to the forces of Hell. It is you and your people who will see themselves as the servants, if you are fortunate, the tattered playthings, if you are less so, or the feast for those damnable creatures you pay homage to.

You do not pay attention to history and you therefore repeat it. You seek to criticize those who are your betters for errors you yourselves have made and far more recently than they. You add nothing to Avistan save the threat of eternal damnation.

Again, I ask, what exactly should one be hailing about Cheliax?

The Exchange 5/5

Lev has never seen daggers as sharp as these words.... Sarina are you sure you do not hail in some small part from Varasia?

Sovereign Court

Ah, I keep my blades sharp Lev, as well as my wits. It is truly the way to exit any confrontation intact, be it on the field of battle or in a dialogue with those who would see to slander the name of my homeland.

Alas I have only recently been introduced to Varisia, though I can see its draw. There is much potential there and the people need only find their way to truly rule their lands. Consider Taldor, and this Taldan in particular, an ally in the endeavors to building a system to ensure the glory of Varisia will reach it's full potential.

Nobility can be quite ... lucrative ... for those who know the inner workings of such a system. ;)

Liberty's Edge 2/5

Congrats Paul On your 3rd star

Sovereign Court

So I have been toying with trying a modules only run to take folks from 1st level up to 12th level (no scenarios in the mix if it can be avoided).

As an FYI, for the lower level modules, I don't see an issue with completing them within the time restraints of a regular Saturday, but the higher level ones may roll over to two separate gaming weekends (high level combats can take a longer time) or on a APL Saturday/finish up on that Sunday. Modules are estimated to take 2 - 3 times the length of a standard scenario, so focused play would be a must in order to complete them in a timely fashion.

Would folks be interested in this?

Grand Lodge 4/5 *

That'd be fun!

Hey Everyone! This is Adam. A friend of mine is considering joining me for Pathfinder this Friday. He's done some P&P RPGs, but he's never played Pathfinder Society before. We were planning on joining the Feast of Ravenmoor module being run from 12:30 - 8:30 this Friday. He'll be using a Pregen, and I'll be using my new level 2. Just checking in with everyone if there's something special I should be doing to help induct him into the death cul- I mean Lodge. I've linked him to Paizo and the Society resources. He's a very smart man, so I'm sure he'll pick the rules up immediately.

On an unrelated note, I just want to say, as a new inductee, how generally superb everyone and everything in the lodge has been, thanks everybody!

Zylphrix, I would be most intrigued by this endeavor. Count me in.

Cool ... either 2 or 3 (Paul, you in?) so far.

Expected module progression:
1st -> 2nd: The Godsmouth Heresy (Tier 1-2)
2nd -> 3rd: Murder's Mark (Tier 1-2)
3rd -> 4th: Feast of Ravenmoor (Tier 2-4)
4th -> 5th: Midnight Mirror (Tier 3-5)
5th -> 6th: City of Golden Death (Tier 3-5)
6th -> 7th: Carrion Hill (Tier 4-6)
7th -> 8th: Realm of the Fellnight Queen (Tier 6-8)
8th -> 9th: No Response from Deepmar (Tier 7-9)
9th -> 10th: Cult of the Ebon Destroyers (Tier 7-9)
10th -> 11th: The Harrowing (Tier 8-10)
11th -> 12th: Curse of the Riven Sky (Tier 9-11)

I figure we can try to start this up on 3/30/13. New first level PCs folks. If this goes well, I may run through this series a second time (to get additional folks the chance to play through the modules and level up some PCs for an in house Eyes of Ten hopefully later this year ;) ).
