So... if the party is all either undead or Living beings with the Negative Healing ability after Berline's ritual, how are the Shadows in Iron Taviah's cottage supposed to damage them?
Should we change the damage type? or just find another appropriate Creature 4?

I think the fact that the party is so heavily discouraged from having any positive energy abilities will make the fight with the shadows annoying enough to be worthwhile, even if the shadows are essentially just going to be trying to steal shadows and then create shadow spawn.
The creatures are there to slow the party down and make some noise, but not TPK them, which could easily happen to a party with no heal spells, fighting in a location where light magic is also heavily suppressed.

Hmm I think ritual makes this more confusing since in that scenario it doesn't feel like reward for all party members being undead or dhamphirs. Like without ritual it could work as "you are rewarded in that they can't do anything but try to steal your shadow" but ritual's presence meaning that everyone has negative healing makes it weird as encounter.
