Looking for Design Ideas

I'm slowly starting a PFRPG-based blog that I'm calling "Behind the Screen". One of my features is something I call "Design Day" wherein every tuesday and thursday I design something--an NPC, a magic item, a feat, a spell, an archetype, a race, etc. And I know that while my mind might be a vast wellspring of knowledge [/modesty], I will eventually run out of ideas.

So...I'd like to build a back-catalogue of interesting...stuff I can design.

And what's a better place to go for ideas than here on the paizo boards? There's thousands of people here, all with ideas of their own. Consider this a "give me ideas for a class I can design" thread, except expanding outward into just about everything.

Link to the blog.

I look forward to suggestions of such caliber that my mind will surely explode from the awesomeness of the folks of this board.

No pressure.

If nobody else is gonna get you started I will just throw out something. It's pretty general and probably not what you actually want but, I would love to see comic relief monsters. I have an old dragon with gingerbread golems and living hedge monsters for 2nd edition and I loved the whole article, so if we could get a few "oh my god I cant believe I'm fighting a half dragon carnivorous flying penguin" type things(especially ones that don't just involve slapping a couple templates on an existing monster, that'd be cool.

Here's a few:

- An item with an effect similar to a Bard's fascinate ability. A mesmerizing bauble or something.

- A haunt that produces a "shadow" version of the party for them to fight - with elements of the haunt that can be disabled by clever means to make the fight easier.

- Lower level versions of Tenser's Transformation or whatever it's called now. Also, a sorceror and/or wizard archetype built around this spell line.

- A maze composed of portable holes, demiplanes, teleportation circles, and other magically created planar anomalies.

- A race of inside-out people.

Dark Archive

- A ridiculously specialized archetype built around (ab)use of a single spell, such as the magic missile specialists (Force Missile Mage and / or Argent Savant?) in 3.X. If the spell chosen isn't a 1st level spell (or cantrip!), then the AT should provide a way for the AT to use the spell at 1st level (by providing a weaker version of scorching ray that does half damage as as a 1st level spell or a 1st level black tentacles that only affects a single 5 ft. square.

- A Feat or archetype ability that allows someone to pass the benefits of a Feint maneuver on to one or more allies. (So, the fighter renders someone flat-footed, allowing the rogue to stabinate the heck out of them.)

- A magic item that is a sure bet to pass the first round of RPG Superstar 2012. :)

Sorry about the link.

This one should work.

And thanks for the ideas. I went all night without anything and began thinking..."huh, slow day or does no one care?"

Everything's getting put in my OneNote so I can reference it later. So far, I really like the comic relief creatures and the Shadow Party haunt, though that one'll be tough to build.
