You two get stacks of Langosh and a bottle each of K'aaven for your references. And I promise to not use "remover-of-aspects-of-deity" on you when the revolting Teckla rise. ;)

You pretend that you promise? This statement meets with my great approval. Among my reasons for levity following your statements include your promise of great wine and the savings I make for not having to hire Mario to put a shine on you just in case. (If it puts you at ease: It would have been a warning shine. I'm not one to carry grudges)

The Teckla are revolting?

*snorts* Darn tootin'...they stink on ice.

I haven't seen any edition warring in a long time. What I do, occasionally, see is someone expressing their opinion about something and two or three posters having a soap opera meltdown in reply.

I would disagree. They would probably *not* stink on ice, ice having a preservative power over meat.

They do stink on your pillow. Ask anyone with a Jhereg (the animal, not the house) familiar.

Pretty much what I mean. :P

I perceive you have, at one time or another in your past, perused, or indeed devoured, the great works of that Master Historian, Paarfi of Roundwood. This, in my humble opinion, marks you as a personage of character and good taste, even if you do consort with the likes of that paragon of assassins, that killer of Emperors, Mario Greymist. And while I deeply appreciate the fact that you are not one to hold a grudge--and, indeed, this further propels you to the very heights of what the great philosophers term "Quality of Character"--still I must question your use of the term "warning shine". While it is true that my boots could, in truth, use a good polishing by some noble (if I may be permitted a moment of loose phrasing) Teckla, I cannot help but wonder if you, instead, mean I would be shined in the sense of killed, but then kindly revivified, and thus "warned" away from whatever course of action you deem inappropriate. I can only say, had you meant the latter, that your warning has worked perfectly, as I've no wish to test your wit, nor the assassin's blade. To further express this view, I shall include for you a meal at Valabar's, as indication of my sincerity.

And when you see that sort of stuff, please flag it.

Your remark is full of justice. I have indeed perused his works and must say that my parlance has been greatly improved by adopting his flair for brevity.

I assure you that it is less a case of consorting and more of having channels that would enable me to contact him and, indeed, acquire his services, should it become necessary.

You are very perspicacious! I indeed used the colloquial term "shine" in its meaning of contracting an individual to causing a premature sending over Deathgate Falls. A certain Jhereg acquaintance of mine uses the term and so it must have "rubbed off on me" if you permit this expression.

Please be reassured that this was not meant as a warning as you, indeed, have already asserted that you have no intention of using a Great Weapon on me. It was merely an explanation of what I would have done if things had fallen out differently.

It is with great anticipation that I look forward to the meal at Valabar's which you have done me the favour to mention.
