I have begun clearing players for sign-ups as their pre-reg payments are processed. However, payment processing is being somewhat slow this year.

We need more people willing to GM tables of the special. Con rules say you have to GM 2 slots for free admission, but I will be working with the venture captains for GM incentives for running even 1 table.

Liberty's Edge

Kelly, if you need me to pick up extra tables, I'm down. I'm going to be volunteering a couple of shifts as well, though, so when I know what those will be I can tell you my availability for GMing as well.

Dark Archive 3/5

I'll be signing up to play three slots at OwlCon.

Dunno the screen names, but I might've met some of you at Comicpalooza, or back when ya'll hosted some of us LFR players at SanJac. My name's Matt *waves*

Looking to get more into PFS, so if ya'll know any players in the Kingwood/Humble area, that would be great. I'm hoping to find some players closer than Clear Lake at OwlCon.

As it stands now, I'm introducing my gaming group to the beginner box stuff.

Blahblahblah, I'm rambling. Looking forward to OwlCon.

Glad you remember us.
We do strive to be memorable ;)
I never did manage to get you to sign my copy of Book of Drakes at Gencon this year. I'll bring it to Owlcon, just in case.

Since Team C has already played the interactive, we've got an open space in our schedules... if ya wanna hang out (or possibly run another session of In Service to Lore) at the late Saturday slot, Kelly, Sean and I will be available.

Marcus

Daigle and Silverhair it would great to game with you both again. If you are not playing in the interactive Saturday evening and are free, I would be happy to run a mod if you would like to join Team Monk for a game.

GMs are currently needed for the following slots and scenarios:

First Steps: A Vision of Betrayal - Friday night
Quest for Perfection part 1 - Saturday morning
Quest for Perfection part 2 - Saturday afternoon
Blood Under Absalom - Saturday Night
Quest for Perfection part 3 - Sunday morning

Also, players who wish to play Eyes of the Ten, please register and sign up as soon as possible in order to ensure we have enough people for the arc.

1/5

Kelly, check your email.

Grand Lodge 4/5 *

Thank you for the wonderful turnout everyone. We are down to two open slots:

The Quest for Perfection part 2: Saturday afternoon
We Be Goblins: whatever slot you prefer to schedule it

Also, my apologies for not communicating this earlier, but please do not fill out the regular GM registration form on Owlcon's site. There is a special "hidden" form for Society and LFR GMs which I will need to send you privately.

Am I good or is there other stuff I need to do?

You still have work to do after that Zon-Kuthon event you went to, really you should look into anti-paly. Evil, it is a growth industry.

Where should I send an email to sign up as a player?

Grand Lodge 4/5 *

@Derek: If you have already filled out the super-secret GM form I sent you to clam your con badge, nothing else will be needed.

@Barcas: Once you have pre-registered for Owlcon at Owlcon.com and signed up on Warhorn at http://warhorn.net/owlcon-2012/ we will clear you for player sign-ups.

1/5

In case anyone is interested, I had not planned on running anything for OwlCon 2012. However, I have signed up to run 2 scenarios. I am scheduled to run Quest For Perfection Part 1 on Saturday Morning; and Frostfur Captives on Sunday morning.

I have no idea how to go about signing up for those games. Perhaps you might try contacting Kelly Youngblood and he could tell you how.

Pre-registered and signed up! Time to actually generate a character.

1/5

@ Gortek22,
At present I have no plans to play or run the Interactive on Saturday evening. So playing with Team Monk sounds good. Understand that things can change between now and then. In past years I have had to run overflow tables for others, but this year it appears there is less chance of there being a need for overflow. So far only one table is filled.

Cool. Signed up for all three of the First Steps scenarios on Friday and Saturday, plus Frostfur Captives and Echoes of the Overwatched on Sunday.

Grand Lodge 4/5 *

One more GM is needed to run Quest for Perfection part 2 on Saturday Afternoon and part 3 Sunday Morning. One who can take over Tide of Twilight on Friday Night or Echoes of the Overwatched on Sunday afternoon would also be appreciated.

Also, player signups are needed for Eyes of the Ten, I don't want to have to cancel it.

Yeah really, I am GMing them and would love the chance to kill some level 12s...;)

Kelly we already talked about this, but just a reminder just keep me up to date on this just in case.

Like to start prepping for this.

Sczarni 5/5

You can rotate me around for anything on Saturday if you need to.

Liberty's Edge

I'm picking up volunteer shifts as well, so I'm not sure of my availability, but if you still need someone when that gels, I'm down for whatever.

Grand Lodge 4/5 *

@Rene: You're already exactly where I need you on Saturday.

@Derek: Check your email.

GMs still needed! Saturday and Sunday.

Players wishing to play Eyes Of The Ten must sign up for it by the 20th. 3 more players are needed to have a playable party.

Grand Lodge 4/5 *

Unfortunately, I must announce that "Eyes of the Ten" has been cancelled due to a shortage of 12th-level PCs.

Newly-added to the schedule is "We Be Goblins!" which will run Sunday afternoon, and as-needed to handle walk-in players.

Regular GM sign-ups are now full, though "standby" GMs willing to run "We Be Goblins!" or a 1-5 of your choice for walk-in players are welcome.

Kelly, I would be happy to run a PFS mod or a homebrew oneshot during the Blood under Absalom slot for those who have already played it. If it is too late to get on the schedule I can just recruit people separately if there is interest. I know Chot And Goatlordzod will be free as they have done the special as well.

Thanks
Kelly

By any chance will you also be available to run Ghennett Manor Gauntlet on Friday night? Our GM there had a last-minute scheduling conflict.

I will open up a GM's choice slot alongside the special.

Liberty's Edge

I may have some problems. I just started a new job, and, as my slots are all on Super Bowl Sunday, I may get hosed on having that day off, being low man on the totem pole right now.

I won't know for a week or so, but I'll keep you posted.

Kelly, I am currently signed up to play in the TIde of Twilight during that slot, which would then create 3 tables with less than 4 people during that slot.

Thanks for adding the extra slot during the special.

There is a new slot open on Saturday night for anyone who has already done the Gencon special. I am up for running either a pfs mod or a homebrew one shot, whatever people want.

Adam and Silverhair if you all want happen to be free and want to play, please sign up.

thanks

While I am not enthusiastic about the interactive this year, I also do not sign up for any games on Warhorn. Perhaps I will see you there. I am playing Shadowrun on Friday and running a game on Saturday morning if there are enough people that sign up for it.

I ran the Special at Gen Con last year and was not impressed with it, so I was not planning on playing in it.

I am up for playing in a PFS game during that time.

Dragonmoon, sounds good, do you have a preference for PFS Tier/mod.

Sean and Marcus will have 3rd level characters at that point, though they have 11th as well, so I am up for running anything.

Does not matter to me. I have a Level 1,2,3,4,6,8 & 10.

We just need to find one none of us have played.

Dragnmoon have you played any of the following:

2-18 Forbidden Furnace of Forgotten Koor [7-8, 10-11]
40 Hall of Drunken Heroes [7-8,10-11]
2-10 Fury of the Fiend [7-8, 10-11]

If so then maybe you could recommend a tier 10-11 that you would like to play. We have done wrath of the accursed, mantis prey, flesh collector and possibly one more.

IS there anyone else out there up for a game, we are currently looking tier 10-11 but could drop it down to accommodate anyone else.

thanks
Kelly

1 person marked this as a favorite.

I'm really stoked, so I had to share.

My cousin sent me an email last night because he noticed I was a "special guest" this year at OwlCon. He lives in Houston and the previous years I've been to OwlCon we've tried to meet up, but he's always had to work. This year he's off the whole weekend and is gonna make it to the con. We might even get to game together. This is especially cool because he's the one that got me into gaming when we were little kids.

Dragnmoon, sounds good, I am planning on running #40 Hall of Drunken Heroes (Tier 7-11). If there are some other players that join us with only lower level characters then I can switch to #2-11 Penumbral Accords Tier (1-5) or another low level that everyone hasn't played.

thanks
Kelly

All right!
Sounds like Saturday night is shaping up...

I'll bring Torath (Cleric of Asmodeus 11) for Hall of Drunken Heroes, and Jianguo (Clr1/Mon2) will be on hand in case we play Penumbral Accords.

Adam, sounds cool that your cousin will finally make it out. Perhaps you both should jump in on the Saturday night game (that is not the interactive) and make us play low level ;)

I/Stone has played the Penumbral Accords :(. I guess I will hope high. Kelly have you played Penumbral Accords? If not I could run it.

We have 9(!) players signed up for 1 table of "Wonders in the Weave" parts I and II on Saturday. A GM is needed to step in and run extra tables. Run both parts, and you can still claim your free con badge and tee shirt.

And remember, pre-registration closes on Friday!

Grand Lodge 4/5 *

This is your last change to pre-register and get Warhorn sign-up access. Sign-ups are closing tonight!

A GM for a second table of both parts of Wonder in the Weave would still be appreciated.

I have Sunday off, so I'm good to go on my slots. I work Saturday though, so can't help out there.
