Hey
I spotted some non-Paizo Pathfinder-Products lately and I am think about buying them. Therefore, I wanted to ask which companies other than Paizo produce high quality books?

In all honesty, you should probably look at the products on a case-by-case basis. You can use reviews for that, especially the reviews by Endzeitgeist and Dark Mistress: they review a lot of stuff and have a pretty high standard.

The products we produce at 4 Winds Fantasy Gaming get consistently good reviews. :)

Frog God Games does some pretty kick-ass stuff. <grin>

We will also be getting the Tome of Horrors Complete out this month (look at the legal appendices in the back of your Bestiaries to see what the Paizo folks think of the Tome of Horrors). Published and produced by us and for Necromancer Games.
Plus we have the fan-acclaimed "Slumbering Tsar Saga" written by Greg A. Vaughan of Paizo AP fame, our current best-selling series "Splinters of Faith" and many other adventures in the "old school" style.

What type of material are you looking for? There are a number of 3pp that produce high quality material, (some of which have been mentioned in this thread already) but depending on what you are after we may be able to give you some more useful recommendations.
As for the reviewers who cover 3pp material, I tend to find Endzegeist's reviews more useful since he will actually use the full rating scale (not just 4 and 5 star reviews) and provides more detail in his reviews than just giving a more detailed listing of what material can be found in the books (I still find this information useful, I just wish there was a bit more qualitative material in the reviews to support the score that is assigned).

Rite Publishing |

I would recommend getting the free copy of pathways (especially issue #1) which has the consolidated reviews. Issue #1 has the top books from 2010 listed from Endzeitgeist and Dark Mistress.
Issue #7 should be out tonight or tomorrow. (its been a hell day)

Steve of Rite Publishing should have mentioned that Rite Publishing is another great 3pp producing a ton of Pathfinder releases!

If you are not sure about a 3PP you might want to check out their free Pathfinder products. Its a great way to get a sample of what they do at no cost risk to you. I, of course, would suggest any of the free products by LPJ Design, but there are lots of companies to choose from. Hope this helps.

Paizo, of course, has a free product listing as well. Not all of them are PFRPG, but there's definitely stuff available there that isn't on RPG.now.

I have to echo the question of what you are looking for, specifically. Many of the 3PP kinda specialize in certain types of products. For example, Super Genius Games tends to add new mechanics or optins in most of their products...new classes, new feats, new items, new class options, etc. Frog God Games is largely focused on adventures (and I personally prefer the feel of their adventures to those of Paizo quite often).

Grey Lensman |
The question of "what are you looking for" in a new product is important here. It helps narrow down the field.
Myself, I have purchased a lot of stuff from Super Genius, a few things from Rite, and the Cerulean Seas book from Alluria. There are other publishers out there (who probably make quality stuff at that), but SGG and Rite are the first ones my GM noticed, and therefore what my group sticks with for the most part. If we tried to get stuff from everyone the completists would go broke, and the GM would be spending so much time attempting to ensure game balance that there wouldn't be time to play the actual games. Although I did purchase my first item from Raging Swan, the book on Dhampirs. My group is going to be starting up Carrion Crown on Monday nights soon, and I was already looking at a Dhampir sorceress with the sanguine bloodline. Hopefully my GM will let this in, as there are plenty of options for the Core Rules races (sadly, we are starting before the Advanced Races Guide hits).

Thanks very much! I hope you like it and that your GM let's you use it!

As I only buy 3PP materials if they are released in print I highly recommend Frog God Games. I own every product they have released for both Pathfinder and swords and Wizardry, if you are looking for modules/adventures you will not be disappointed.
Also I really like Interaction Point Games pretty good stuff with more of a real world feel to it.

A Fistful of Denarii from Tripod Machine is SPECTACULAR and affordable to boot. I've lost the ability to play without it. Otherwise, I'm a big booster of 4 Winds Fantasy Games, Open Design, Frog God Games, Rite Publishing, Super Genius Games, Tricky Owlbear, and Headless Hydra Games as well. Anything by any of these companies is a good purchase.

Two books from other publishers I have bought personally and used in my games. The Genius Guide to the Time Thief from Super Genius Games and Forgotten Foes from Tricky Owlbear (which is written by the guys from Purple duck, and illustrated with help from the guys from Headless Hydra).
I would also recommend Tome of Horrors complete. (I have all the books already and had already done the conversions for my home games from the 3.5 versions, so this is also a book I have used in my games).
I have also used stuff from Open Design's Sunken Empires.
Sadly I don't get to use a lot of stuff from other companies as my home game right now is very high level and deals with a lot of playtesting.

At this point, I feel compelled to bravely and selflessly mention Raging Swan's print products which are available on Amazon! Don't forget you get free PDFs with every print product purchased, which makes this an even more super-dooper awesome deal.
;-)

Just for balance of opinions...
I liked the idea of Fistful of Denarii but not the execution. Every class felt overpowered to the point of pushing the normal fighter and ranger out of the door and waving farewell.
Just my opinion.

Like others have said, there are a bunch. I have the overwhelming majority of super genius material (which now if i finish printing it all threatens to expand into a THIRD 3inch binder of just genius material), and I have several good products from rite publishing and 4 winds. And then there is tome of horrors, that beheamoth of monstery goodness put out by frog god games (of which i cannot wait for the hard copy despite having the pdf already).

Thanks for the mention!
And you can find Psionics Unleashed in your local gaming store. :) We've even had reports of it being available in stores over in England.

There are remarkably 3 copies of it now in my game group, so it is going to see more use in my upcomming campaign (the current one ended saturday). I myself am looking forward to a few npcs using those rules to harass my players.

I'm probably one of the bigger cheerleaders for Frog God Games on this site, at least that isn't actually employed by them. I have, to date, purchased every single product they've put out in PDF, for both Pathfinder and Swords & Wizardry, and intend to continue to do so. I also picked up a copy of the Swords & Wizardry: Complete Rules in both hardcover and softcover, and pre-ordered hardcovers of both versions of the Tome of Horrors Complete. I also won a free copy of their upcoming Black Monastary, and plan to get a hardcopy of their Ultimate Book of Adventure Design as well. They've become my favorite RPG company bar none, surpassing even longtime favorites like Chaosium and the Necromancer which the Frog God spawned from, as well as more recent favorites such as Paizo. I can't recommend them highly enough.
TL;DR: I like Frog God Games.

Most of these have been mentioned already, but chiming in to contribute to consensus. Not in any particular order, these are my faves:
Super Genius
Frog God
0one Games
Gaming Paper
Rite Publishing
Open Design
Raging Swan
Zombie Sky
In the interests of full disclosure, some of these publishers have or will publish some of stuff of mine. Also, some may have been reviewed on my blog by EZG, DM or myself.

Wow! Thanks Kthulhu. That's high praise indeed. Bill Webb and Greg Vaughan are the best!

Gah, I wanted to mention 4WFG as well! You always miss someone with these lists. :(

Dreamscarred Press' psionics materials are top-notch.
Listen to this... creature. Although it looks as if it never even heard of sanity, it speaks truths, at least in this instant.
Psionics Unleashed rocks, and Psionics Expanded looks very promising, too. Dreamscarred puts the contented sigh in psionics.

Purple Duck Games |

Thanks to all the people that have mentioned Stefen and I at Purple Duck Games. I've been swamped with school work so I've totally missed a whack of threads lately.
My main pick-up list includes: 4WFG, Rite, Headless Hydra, Tricky Owlbear, Open Design, Super Genius Games, Raging Swan.
I'm not sure what Stefen's list would be.

I've found the following companies to produce good to excellent material for Pathfinder:
Adamant Entertainment (specifically Bloodlines, pass on Tome of Secrets)
Alluria Publishing (Fey Folio)
Dreamscarred Press (Psionics Unleashed)
Frog God Games
Gun Metal Games (Class Options series by Stefen Styrsky)
Myth Merchant Press (System Operational Document, best rules aid evar!)
Open Design (everything except Advanced Feats, which I found to be hit or miss, plus the release of the compilation for $10 after I paid $20 for five of the pdfs really tee'd me off)
Raging Swan Press
Rite Publishing (Secrets of the Forest, Heroes of the Jade Oath PF)
Sagaworks Studio (unfortunately nothing new from them in a while)
Sean K Reynolds Gaming (Darkness Without Form)
Super Genius Games (hit or miss for me, YMMV)
Tripod Machine Games (A Fistful of Denarii)
Zombie Sky Press
If I haven't commented on a company I recommend all their PF products (usually because I own them). Companies with comments indicates I only own the listed products or a select few and can't pass a judgement on overall quality.
I do have Headless Hydra Game's Eldritch Secrets, but the PDF gives me fits when I try and read it so I can't comment on it. Looking at the list above I probably need to do some reviews.
