What happened to the Chelaxian Pathfinders

Lost Omens Campaign Setting General Discussion

I remember reading something about the Chelaxian Empire's answer to the Pathfinder Society, what books have information on this group?

Shadow Lodge

Pathfinder Lost Omens, Rulebook, Starfinder Adventure Path, Starfinder Roleplaying Game Subscriber

As a fellow Chelaxian may I point you to the Darklight Sisterhood and the Aspis Consortium

The Darklight Sisterhood is who I was thinking of, any chance there's more info on them besides the Guide to Korvosaand the old campaign setting?

None that I am aware of. Hopefully we'll get more in future.

Judging by the fact that nothing has mentioned about them in a LONG while (2008), I'm guessing they have politely been shown the door, setting-wise, to make more room for the Aspis Consortium. After all, why have two anti-Pathfinderesque organizations in one country?

Dark Archive

I vaguely recall someone official saying that the Darklight Sisterhood was considered to be something of a miss-step, and they were not going to be developed further.

I don't remember the explanation for that, but it might have had something to do with an all-female group being portrayed as 'Keystone cop' type nincompoops or 'also rans.' Rather than try and dig them out of that hole, I think they just threw dirt in over them and planted some flowers.

The 'Aspis Consortium' needs to be run behind-the-scenes by ant-people, alied with the Slave Lords. :)

Silver Crusade

Well in the Module J1 Entombed with the Pharoahs, there might be something of interest.
The Module is 3.5

Spoiler:
There is a rival adventuring party called "her Majesty's expeditionary"

This group consisted of
-Paracount Julistar 1 aristorcrat/ 5 Cloistered Cleric ( Unearthed Arcana, not UM)
-Loniccera F bard 6
-Septer Ranger 2/ Evoker 4
-Xaven Neversword Halfling Rogue 6
-Hrokon 1/2 orc fighter

Also in the Rival guide there is a rival adventuring party
Spoiler:

there is an adventuring group callled "the Queen's hand"

-Anya Jaggere- 11 summoner with snake
-Lerwynn Skathos, 12 level bard
-Victus Carrazinion 11 cleric of Asmodeus
-Will Tellaxus 8 fighter/ 4 Hellknight

now these two groups are not large organizations like the Pathfinder society, but they could prove good foils as rival adventuring parties.

Here is the relevant post from back in April:

The Darklight Sisterhood are not something we have any plans on ever mentioning in any future product. As much fun as they might be, they don't totally jive with the version of Golarion that evolved from the one that existed at the time the Sisterhood were created. We have other evil organizations opposed to the Pathfinders to work with, and ones that don't exclude 50% of all PCs (assuming equal representation of both genders), and don't give themselves away by all taking the same last name. ;-)
