Spell like abilities per day

If a beast's stat block is as follows:
Spell like abilities:
3/day - cause fear (dc 12), dimension door, invisibility (self only)
Does that mean it can use each one 3 times or that it can only use any combination of the three, three times?

It means it can use each one 3/day unless stated otherwise.

Really? Then I've been short changing my monsters as I've been doing it the other way. I always thought it seem underpowered at times.

The way you did it applies only to monsters who actually cast spells as sorcerers, like Nagas do. For SLAs, Remco is correct.
