Rogue and Wakizashi?

Rules Questions

Herolab keeps trying to tell me that my new rogue is proficient in Wakizashi. Error on Herolab's part or did I miss something buried in UC?

Wakazahsi is functionally equivalent to a short sword, which rogues get. I believe there was a list in 3.5 of weapon equivalencies, don't know if it made it to Pathfinder or not. Perhaps Herolab has information that hasn't been released yet.

In UC, the wakizashi is an exotic weapon. Unless you have an archetype giving you a proficiency or such, I think Herolab is mistaken.

It probably thinks you are Ninja. The Rogue alternate (basically archetype) gets proficiency.

In the Ninja playtest the Wakizashi was defined as "works as a short sword", so most likely the "wakizashi = shortsword" is a leftover from that.

In the final version it's its own exotic proficiency.
