Ok reading Master of Devils now.

Am I the only one who can't help but hear Doug's voice when reading Arnisant's chapters?

Arnie is considerably smarter than Dug, but I got a bit of that.

Just finished. Very interesting. For fear of putting the 'game mechanics into a book' thing, I think I see an eldrich monk type prestige class now.

Also Radovan keeps getting neater.

You've just ruined me. I'll never be able to write that point of view again. :)

Sorry, that wasn't my intent. And it did get less "Dug" the more I read.

You laugh, but this bit (Ross remove please if I'm breaking rules):

Master of Devils wrote:
It was hard to focus on his scent so close to the trees where there were so many other trails to follow. Some of the smells straightened my tail. I wanted to follow the path of the hare, but I am a good boy, so I followed Radovan’s trail instead.

I was half expecting a "Squirrel!" there.

Arnisant to Dug translation:
"I am a good dog I will follow Radovan's trail into the woods. I am- HARE! I will follow Radovan's trail into the woods." :-)

If I could read the opening sentence in Dug's voice, then I knew that the chapter was in Arnie's point of view. That worked for a while.
