It seems like the previous language about alchemists being able to craft alchemical items is missing from the new version of the guide. Currently I think the answer is no (Though I think this is an oversight since it was in the previous guide).
Also worth pointing out that the rules for wizards and alchemists copying spells from scrolls during scenarios are missing too.

Mark has stated that most, if not all, of the situational rules from the old Guide were pulled from the new Guide because they did not apply to all characters and not everyone needed a copy of them complicating up the Guide and that they will be in the online official FAQ instead. He also said that any of the FAQ rules that apply to your character will need to be printed out and kept with that character for them to be legal. All of these special rules are still valid the way they were written in the last Guide, as far as I have seen from other posts, until the FAQ goes live. At that point, any changes made to those rules will become official and the old version no longer will be.

Pulling them out of one place might make sense for that place, but these rule deltas should be in the "Additional Resources" as that is where people will look for the changes from non-Society to Society-legal play...

I think it's a good assumption that you should keep running things as you have until this gets squared away a bit, hopefully in a week or two.

click on the pathfinder society logo on the upper left hand of the page.
then look up at the top. there is a bunch of links like additional resources, faq, etc. The faq specifically answers your question and a couple of other alchemist questions. cheers.
edit: here is the part from the faq. print the faq page and keep it with your alchemist character.
Alchemists can use the Craft (alchemy) skill to produce items with their Alchemy ability. Follow the Craft rules on pages 91–93 of the Pathfinder RPG Core Rulebook as well as in the alchemist’s Alchemy ability description. Any item created must be properly noted on that scenario’s Chronicle sheet. Under "Items Bought", note the amount of gold spent and the item created.
Alchemists are assumed, for Pathfinder Society Organized Play, to carry the necessary items and tools with them to use available resources to create alchemical items. If they have a base of operations from which to do so, they may use an alchemy lab to gain the +2 bonus on their Craft (alchemy) check.
Alchemists may never sell any of their created items nor may they trade them to another PC. However, they may allow other PCs to borrow or use items they’ve created (so long as the alchemist class ability being used allows them to do so)
