Is there a place where I can find versions of the maps in, say, the APs that don't have the numbers on them?
I'm really interested in attaching the artwork from the modules/ APs themselves to a foam core board, cutting out each room, and laying them down as they're discovered like a puzzle. Honoring the artwork by actually showing it to the players, rather than having it go to 'waste' on the GM.
All that aside, didn't Age of Worms have two versions of each map?
Would it be difficult for Paizo to put up the maps sans numbers as an errata-like release? I bet a lot of people would be really grateful, especially if they were accustomed to it from the original APs...

Later versions of the APs "layer" the numbers on the image, so that when you export them using a pdf image exporter (ie use a purchased version of Adobe reader), pdf image extract is a free one. make sure when you extract the images you do them in highest resolution.
if you hit a wall, there are probably 30+ threads here on the forums that address exactly this topic in greater detail.

This is actually a feature we've begun implementing in Jade Regent. It is possible that we'd go back and make sure every AP has one, but for now we're testing the waters with the new Interactive PDF format. You can read more about it on the product discussion for The Brinewall Legacy.

Actually, almost all of the maps in our PDFs are presented in such a way that you can select and then copy the map without the text or secret door markings.
The interactive PDF feature, which gives you buttons to toggle labels on and off while viewing the PDF, and covers over secret rooms so your players can't even see them—that's the thing we did starting with Jade Regent.
