I noticed that Hero Labs is giving me a +1 ride bonus:
+1 Ride while riding your bonded mount. (Ex) Cancel your armor check penalty of -1 while riding your mount.
My order selection is Cockatrice. I cannot find any reference to where this +1 bonus comes from. Can someone please let me know where the reference to this is.

Instead of REMOVING the ACP, Hero Labs is giving you a bonus towards Ride equal to your current ACP.
At least that's what it sounds like, without knowing what armor you're wearing. I recall having to do that frequently with Hero Forge. (making creative edits to get numbers to jive correctly)
If it's giving you a +1 AND removing the ACP, might be a bug. I haven't personally use Hero Labs, but I hear a lot of not nice things about it from those in my group that do for something they had to pay for... my pen & paper still works, lol.

Ah yes, okay I understand now. Based on the description I thought the penalty was negated AND that there was a bonus that cavaliers got to their ride checks that I couldn't find.
Hero Labs is... okay. I rate it 5/10. Mechanically it works great, but the interface is very, very poor. Its one of those programs where "once you learn how to use it", it works okay... but my software design philosophy when it comes to character creators is that it should be an intuitive interface and one that you should never, ever have to say "once you learn how to use it". If the program was free, I could accept the quirky interface, but if I have to pay something... anything, then is should look like a professional built it, and not something that appears as if it was just randomly slapped together.
