Eitherway, I can see the many things that'll happen and inspire great roleplaying with choices that should be difficult, but rewarding in their own ways.
I should really start building the NPCs in question and setting up my alterations to the 6 person conversion so you don't get more than WBL or more experience than needed for your the adventure.
What do you think of the little twist I added in the post for you? I'm curious because I don't want to mis-represent your character or how other characters from the past would act around him.
Plus the ideas I'm coming up with are quite interestings so we'll have to see what'll happen :D

But I don't think that just because he's hooking up with an elf will break him from being the self loathing, maudlin, modestly alcoholic hard ass he's been since we started. I wrote up his sheet after watching Unforgiven with a 750ml of Jameson so I'd hate for all that to go to waste :p

It's a combination of both the loot we gathered from the Stag Lord's and from Nettles' Sack O' Treasures. If you think about it, WBL for lvl 4 is 6000 so we're probably in the right area, give or take. And we're probably close to a lvl up. *crosses fingers*
I certainly haven't forgotten about your loan. Thought I didn't really need the extra protection from my mithral shirt, it did lighten me up enough to use my alchemy supplies so thanks again!
I figured I'd pay you back in game and after all of the loot stuff is finalized. That way it's one less thing for me to account for when dealing with everyone's junk.

Well of course he won't instantly change as character change will happen over time and I'm sure even if things were perfectly happy he's still be a little self loathing as that is part of his characters. Scars never heal afterall, but over a long amount of time they do fade...to alter something that Poe said at the end of Kung Fu Panda 2.
I just let the characters change at your paces as even when things change for the better a person's personality will not always change that quickly.
I'm not taking the ranseur because it's not a lance. I'm not worried about Enlarge Person because it doesn't really help me on horseback. I can't take a lot of AoOs because I have a Dex of 12, but if I wanted to use a two handed reach weapon on foot or on foot and enlarged, I would use a lance. So yes, per my earlier statements, the ranseur can be sold and I would like to order a masterwork lance (or have a cleric make my current lance masterwork).
Don't be afraid of other two handers. You can't and won't be on horseback one hundred percent of the time and reach weapons have their limits. Lances are just expensive longspears off the horse. :)
That is why I think that James should take the Longsword +1. He can also fight with it from his horse and get the bonus from fighting from a higher position.
I appreciate the help guys and I take all things into consideration, but continually pressuring me to play my character in a way I don't want to is starting to annoy me. Yes, there are plenty of times I won't be on horseback, and going forward I'm going to be taking feats that are good mounted or not, now that I have the mounted ones I want.
I have a longsword, I have a lance, I have full plate and a shield. That's the character I want to play, that's the character I'm going to play, and rest assured if I see a weapon I want I'll ask for it.
So, are we going to sell the +1 longsword? I have no problem getting rid of the ranseur as it is a rather unusual weapon anyway.

If the base value of the city is raised high enough you can have your weapon enchanted, however it'll end up depleating the available resources in chapter 2 when you guys go out exploring again.

Hmm...will have to think about it, but if he has the cash I see no problem with him going up north with Kesten and enchanting his weapon in the city. Restov is a large city so they certainly have the commerce and expertise in enchanting weapons by atleast +1.

Actually there hasn't been much interacting between Carina and Sir Bronwyn since the Stag Lord and their little romantic-kind-of encounter there. Not much has been built from that.
I ask because if either of you are planning to end up with the two together for the best boost to kingdom stats, it'd be better in roleplaying to actually see more of that romance, maybe even a confrontation about it and when the idea of establishing the kingdom the two discuss about how they get married. Of course Jhod could marry the pair in the eyes of Erastil and all other gods.

Innuendo and wordplay can be tricky for some of us native speakers so bravo for taking that on and continuously making it work. I've been a fan of your PC since he stripped off his armor to investigate what caused a bloody struggle outside of a dark and unexplored cave.
I also appreciate the reoccurring themes of redemption and rebuilding that are touched on by a handful of characters on the board. Specifically, I feel that Ganit and Bronwyn share a lot of similar fears but they face them in a completely opposite way; it seems that while Bron looks to the future, Ganit just buries himself in the past. It's really interesting how these sort of things fell into place without any real planning or anything. Keeps things fresh.

Woah I totally missed this post earlier. I put up "enfeebled old men" specifically with Steve Howe in mind. I mean, have you seen recent pics of the guy? Close to the Edge and Relayer were my favorite albums of theirs.
Different Stages is my favorite Rush album. On the 1st disc they do 2112 from START TO FINISH!!! It's mind blowing! All other live shows I've heard/seen they only do Overture/Temples.
While Yes has some of the greatest music of all time, it is their album covers that really set them apart. Roger Dean is just amazing. I think that he also did the covers for the first few Asia albums as well.
