Black Hawk Down. Before that, Thelma & Louise ... he's pulling about one per decade. He's due :-)
Also... and I can't emphasize this enough... there are only TWO alien movies. Any other movies you might have heard of never happened.
Just like Matrix and Highlander sadly never had any sequels made. Shame, really.

Although when all is said and done, the special abilities more than make up for the lower Dex allowance. So I think I'd prefer the special ability, and if that's what comes I'll up the Con.

Sadly, not even Blade Runner. Don't get me wrong, I like parts of Blade Runner a great deal, but as a movie it doesn't hold together for me. Partly this is because of all the different versions, and (I could be wrong here), there's no version that doesn't have the narration and in which Deckard is not a replicant. I fall firmly into the camp of "If Deckard is a replicant, the film has no meaning."

Tollin Elere |

It will probably be good for everyone's peace of mind that there is some unambiguous "I KILL YOU NOW" evil coming up later on in this Dungeon.
LOL We are defiantly not the normal hack and slash party that just kills everything that simply has an evil alignment. Although I do hope that everyone agrees that dragons are in fact color coded for our morally justified slaying ease of mind.

Tollin Elere |

Ry, how do you want to handle Tollin making making replacement ammunition? The archers can make new arrows using the old heads or have their arrows mended, Tollin cannot do this. Most bullets are made by simply melting lead and poring it into a mold. As for black powder it's a mixture of charcoal, sulfur, and and saltpeter. Charcoal is easy to produce, its charcoal. Sulfur is mined but was used in early time for a number of things. Saltpeter is normally mined but can also be found in or around areas where manure is piled or many animals have urinated.
I'm sure Tollin would have little trouble finding these supplies in any decent sized town in one quantity or another. But I'm a little concerned about when we may next come to another town. I currently have enough powder and bullets for 27 shots.
Would it be possible for him to scrounge the supplies he needs from places such as this castle of its like?
Tollin would know the answer to these questions I assume. And therefor conserve his ammunition accordingly

I know this happens in our RL games, where I think I've said something and nothing happens. I've come to accept that apparently I only spoke in my head or something.
ugh. my fault. flying through both threads on a tiny break and trying to reply on phone. Could only finish reply to Buttersnips last break, can only do this quick thing on this break. catch you next break!

Is okay. I figured it might be something like that... But it is odd for Tollin to not be the one ignoring me. :)
Yeah - same thing as yesterday's post-fail batch-o-Knowledge checks. The math is more or less: Multiple bigwigs in 4 days + local boss out for weeks (now in hospital with cancer diagnosis) = endless work for all FLSA exempt staff. Tiny breaks, working open to close day after day after day ...
wouldn't be so bad if we were in combat, since that forcibly slows the rate down, but I can only manage a couple of big flex-time exchanges per day, by shaving sleep in the crucial window of "Ry-awakens and Hawaii gets off work". Any other time, barely keeping pace with the reading, never mind meaningfully-rapid conversing.
Apologies :-)

Myriana Bayden |

Myri will be with the group if you feel we need to stay together. I forget if there is something like that in you PBP rules or not. I know (I think) we can do stuff through "flex time", but in this case I would assume Myri is still in the room, and Hrithik is assuming I followed them out of the door. How to resolve?
I believe these were somewhere around the 2nd and 5th(last) versions of what I was trying to post while things kept changing in between when I could get back to the PBP.
DID NOT POST
Myriana's tears have long since (not in a game time sense, but definitely in a per post sense) ceased to fall. Her eyes are smoldering and have narrowed to thin slits. She stood as Hrithik was speaking, "Enough." She stands up straight, bow in her left hand. "We are done here." She is apparently looking at the floor, but it is obvious a seething anger is boiling just under the surface.

As Mel speaks, she responds, "Go. I will catch up."

I cannot, of course, guarantee that the PC group will be willing to "leave you behind", but if you, say, go into the room and shut or slam the door behind you (or do so behind everyone else after they go if you never leave the room), it will probably at least encourage them to wait outside?

Kyrademon |

If a situation looks likely to come up where you will be in the wilds for a significant amount of time, I will give you a heads-up so you can lay in a nice big supply of raw materials.
Incidentally, you may have missed it, but if you could reply to the question I asked in this post, it'd be helpful. Thanks!

Tollin Elere |

if you are refering to the magic item I had posted as a wishlist spoiler. Sorry I should have done it as a GM spoiler. Here it is.
In order of want
+1 double barreled pistol
+1 double barreled pistol of distance
+1 double barreled pistol of distance and seeking
+1 double barreled pistol of flaming distance
I'm only interested in the distance enhancement if it would increase the actual range increments. Basically it would let me do ranged touch attacks at 40' instead of 20'.

Hi. I don't know if you saw, but I replied to your post a while back from our earlier conversation out in the woods, and the even earlier one back at the wagons. I know you're very busy at work, but I wanted to remind you about those long ago posts, if you get a chance to post at some point.
thanks!

![]() |

I'm not sure what you're referring to by wagons. If you mean "day 7 weaving session", I understood that Ry was being super-nice to let us wrap it up on our own time, but wanted it wrapped fast ... I was considering Lio to have gotten the last word there, with a parting smile/comment. If there is *another* wagons discussion I am spacing out on, please slap me around like a panicking passenger on Airplane! and remind me where it is :-)
P.S. Don't feel unloved, in my case. I don't use Facebook. Despise their privacy policies (or rather their utter lack thereof).

Melinda Sorn |

However, she wanted to let you know:
Yes, the weaving scene was the one to which she was referring. She was just surprised because Hrithik never seems to let anyone else have the last word.
And I wanted to thank you for responding to Mel, I really appreciate it. And fully expect many questions from her when, you know, Ameiko isn't in peril. :)

Actually Mana at the moment, cause Jess is being super sweet and cooking me dinner.
However, she wanted to let you know:

The fact that Hrithik is letting Lio have the last word without any fuss at all is hugely important :-). Shows how much he cares / respects. To give a sense, he is also willing to let Ameiko have the last word, so long as they aren't actively disagreeing at the moment. Most other people? Not so much. Protocol tends to demand a parting courtesy, if nothing else.
Because in Infernal Cheliax: Role Plays You!
And I wanted to thank you for responding to Mel, I really appreciate it. And fully expect many questions from her when, you know, Ameiko isn't in peril. :)
Thanks for having Mel ask. Feel free to consult Hrithik-pedia whenever you want! When he has the Int-cognogen going he is scary awesome in the Knowledge skills. Fox's Cunning will make it ludicrous.

In the words of Brian Basset (Red and Rover, Honolulu Star Advertiser, Sunday Comics), it's "Let those you love know just how much you love them" Day.
Thank you, all of you, for being a part of my life.
*hugs*
The merriest of terrorism anniversaries to everyone else, as well. You guys rock. It's been a joy to meet everyone.

Question about the caravan.
As the party acquires treasure are they giving a share to the caravan prior to splitting it up? Or is each member simply donating to the caravan as they can?

Tollin Elere |

** spoiler omitted **
Does the caravan seem to have any trade goods, if so what are they? Or, is it simply a traveling group? Are there enough drivers that another wagon could be purchased and still allow for people to have time off for crafting purposes?
What items or equipment could be added to the wagon or wagons to increase the ability for the caravan to defend its self.
Basically after Tollin takes care of his own needs: some ammo, better traveling clothes, and possibility supplies to up grade his starting gun to a masterwork one he will spend money to improve the caravan. What would be good at this point?
also what skills should I take to show a returning of knowledge and skills he is reacquiring from living in a caravan when he was younger?

Tollin Elere |

Also I think I need to change Tollin's choice of deity. Something involving justice, judgement, or punishment would seem more appropriate. Although, it would be like the relationship that Conan has with Crum in "Conan the Barbaian." I'm thinking of the scene where he is asking Crum for help and then tells him if he won't give it the Crum should go f+~+ himself. This would stem from the what he was put through by his uncle after he was sent to live with him after Shalelu saved him. He would have pleaded for help and wonder why his prayers were never answered. Why there was no one ever gave him justice over those who did horrible things to him and others around him. One day he said f+$$ it and started dealing with things on his own. It took awhile and it was very messy but in the end "justice was done."

Kyrademon |

In general, they've got plenty of trade goods and material, but space is getting tight for both goods and people. However, the number of wagons is currently maxed out unless the Extra Wagons feat is taken next level, which might be a smart idea if you want to bring it up.
Your current god is ... Iomedae? It's listed as Desna on your sheet, so I'm not sure.

Tollin Elere |

hello all. I'm looking at the caravan rules and am not sure if i'm reading something right. According to the rules the minimum amount of consumables that the caravan uses each day is equal to the total number of wagons the caravan has. So here is my question, Are we, as a group, having too many people foraging for supplies then is needed? I'm trying to figure out the rules for the caravan.
Is it absolutely necessary for us to have the extra wagon feat to have more wagons or do we just need that feat to gain the benefits gained by any wagon over 5, ie increased HP and such?

Tollin Elere |

Without the feat, we cannot have more wagons than 5. Which means that for 4th level, I am going to vote for "Extra Wagons" as the caravan feat.
my vote as well.
Also Tollin is going to start building, if GM allows enhanced undercarriages for all the wagons in the caravan. probably going to have to increase some skills to do so. Ry that's a question for you.
