Liothonae:
Add an extra 1d6 fire damage.

Do we want to put the 3500 to upgrading the last covered wagon to a prisoner wagon?

Not a bad idea. It's something we've been wanting to do...

I'm good with this unless someone has a better idea to float.

Female Quarter-Orc Sorcerer

The caravan has 4,828 gp and 4 sp in its fund.

To upgrade the covered wagon (reinforced) to prisoner wagon (reinforced) will cost 3,500 gp. Doing so will increase the caravan's hp by 20 and caravan's security by 2, but decrease cargo capacity by 2.

Or we could upgrade all the wagons with enhanced undercarriages (+8 miles per day) for the cost of 500/wagon (3,500).

Or we could save it for purchasing magic storage space (bags of holding/portable hole).

Female Quarter-Orc Sorcerer

Kyrademon:
Since you said (implied, hinted, something) that we would be leveling after the encounter with the dragon.

Can I take Blood Rage from Orc of golarion?
Blood Rage

Thank you either way

Note that Enhanced Undercarriages on all the wagons will take up 7 cargo units.

You may also wish to use some of the money to replace some of the Repair Materials you have used up.

(Just to check, was the 120 gp spent for month 3 and 4 wages?)

Melinda:
Yes, I will allow that. Since it comes with an AC penalty, it doesn't seem unbalanced to me.

Female Quarter-Orc Sorcerer

umm... make that 4,708.4 gp in the caravan fund

And we probably want to at least another 120-240 gp for months 5,6-7,8.

Melinda Sorn wrote:

130 to 260 gp. Jorun was only prepaid through month four.

Not that it makes a huge difference, but shouldn't Rhost be farther up in the air? Fast movement keeps me at 30 foot move in medium armor.

Male Halfling Cavalier 10

I'm amused that Google Translate won't translate the "twenty" in Alaric's Halfling statement. Interestingly, it does translate it if it's all by itself.

Male Human (Ulfen) Oracle of Battle 10

I should stop pre-rolling crit damage for the remote possibility of landing one. It still hasn't ever occurred so far, and it's depressing to see a 91 hp strike go to waste. :P

Rhost:
Air walk only allows you to move up diagonally at a 45 degree angle, like climbing a hill. You cannot just walk straight up. That's why it was described as "like going up a spiral staircase". That lateral movement you have to make reduces the total upward move.

I was wondering that myself, then figured maybe Estonian for twenty was twenty and forgot about it.

Male Half-elf Barbarian

GM:
Okay, that makes sense. Thanks.

Male Human (Ulfen) Oracle of Battle 10

For simplicity's sake, can I recover from my curse quickly enough to understand the gist of the dragon's speech?

Hrunndalf Jarlsson wrote:

It's still in combat rounds, and fighting could continue at any time. Until combat rounds are officially over, your curse will be active.

Male Human (Ulfen) Oracle of Battle 10

Alright... can I assume Kalimac will give me a one-liner translation of that?

I'm sorry, but no - as I mentioned a while back, actual IC translations are necessary.

An oracle's curse is intended to be something that gets in your way sometimes.

Male Human (Ulfen) Oracle of Battle 10

Fair enough. :P

Male Halfling Cavalier 10

And hey! Rhost picked up Terran! Yay! And with Rhost being in a radically different time zone than I am, that gives us some good coverage to keep Hrunndalf informed and in communication. Huzzah!

Female Elven Urban Druid 9, Brightness Seeker 1

quoting because i'm going off 3 hours of sleep and i need someone to translate for me...

If you like, I shall promise to attack neither the town of Iqaliat, nor anyone from it, nor you, save for anyone among those named who has personally attacked me, to demonstrate my good faith in this matter. A considerable concession."

does this mean that she will attack those of us who attacked her? because that's what i'm getting from this.

also, she speaks common?

Female Quarter-Orc Sorcerer

I took it to mean that she will not attack the town or anyone from it, unless they attack her again in the future.

Feel free to ask her for clarification if you like.

Male Halfling Cavalier 10

Apparently she speaks common.

My take from her statement is that all this business about her slain children is done. Iqaliat is safe from her, unless some idiot comes and starts trouble.

Basically the weregild payment expunges the crimes of her slain children. Any crimes or insults outside that are still fair game. But she is conceding to not attacking Iqaliat just because it's there.

I think. I could be reading this wrong as well.

Female Elven Urban Druid 9, Brightness Seeker 1

well, i asked ic. let's see what she says.

She's not ruling out attacking those of us who attacked her -- but I don't think she's stating an intention to do it, either.

I read it as "leave me alone and I'll leave you alone -- bother me and I'll kill you."

...and apparently she speaks Common.

Male Halfling Cavalier 10

...and has really good hearing.

Female Elven Urban Druid 9, Brightness Seeker 1

i will now proceed to take part in one of the most girliest of endeavors... wedding dress shopping for a friend's wedding.

be back this afternoon.

If the deal is made, the NPCs will scrape enough together to make the amount each of you would have to pay 800 gp.

Right now I count two votes definitely in favor (Rhost and Kalimac.) Since everyone seems to be generally willing to go along with how the group decides on this one, unless there is protest, I will consider the matter settled when there is a majority of votes (at least four) for either yea or nay.

Male Human (Ulfen) Oracle of Battle 10

Hrunndalf has offered to pay his part, thus you can count him as a yea. He's not privy to the finer details of the current conversation, though.

Curse, schmurse... it's about time I hit 10th. ;)

Which is when he'll find out that Kalimac has been lying to him all these levels.... :)

Male Human (Ulfen) Oracle of Battle 10

gasp... You mean the cake is a lie?!

Male Human Cleric 10

Kalimac has no motive to lie! And come on, it's not like his Bluff skill is terrifyingly high or anything...

It's only 4 ranks!

I admit that some sick part of me wants to take Cleave and Great Cleave and wade out into a sea of combatants -- which would be a lot of "(and if I hit)Roll To Hit The Next Guy:"

One vote for upgrading the covered wagon (reinforced) -> prisoner wagon (reinforced) ... and buying repair materials to replace what we've used.

Voting is going to close on this quite soon, because I need to know the Caravan's stats when your journey north resumes. So if you have an opinion on this, now is the time to weigh in.

magic storage would be cool.

but making the covered wagon safer should be more of a priority, i think. can it hold the same amount of people as a covered wagon? (asking only because we are loosing storage capacity)

Female Quarter-Orc Sorcerer

The prisoner wagon can hold 6 people, but the storage capacity is only 2. (The covered wagon has 4.)

On the extra dimensional storage... we should not use portable holes...

bag of holding I - 1 storage - 2500 gp
bag of holding II - 2 storage - 5000 gp
bag of holding III - 3 storage - 7500 gp
bag of holding IV - 4 storage - 10,000 gp

portable hole - 5 storage - 20,000 gp

... I recommend buying 2 bags of holding IV over 1 portable hole... for obvious reasons...

Kyrademon:
No rush... but I went to put down how much of the cold resistance was used up and realized... you didn't post that. Intentional/just forgot?

Sorry to be a pain....

Melinda:
I didn't bother to post because it's pointless. There's no possible way she's going to wear through all of the protection on any of you by the end of the combat.

If you're curious, it was 10d4 ⇒ (1, 4, 2, 2, 2, 1, 1, 1, 2, 3) = 19, divided in half if you make a DC 19 Reflex Save, 1d20 ⇒ 5 plus your bonus.

So that would be 19 for you.

Kyrademon wrote:

As mentioned on the IC board, we now have four "no" votes (Alaric, Myriana, Liothonae, Melinda) that I do not believe are going to flip. Since at least part of the argument is against leaving a dangerous predator behind, I also do not think a minority agreeing to the deal would be acceptable to the voters on the other side. I am therefore assuming the deal is off, by majority vote of the group.

Obviously, no further combat action has happened yet, so discussion can still continue if you like, but definitely please do post your round 4 combat action, whatever that may be. No one will be forced to attack the dragon, obviously (or prevented from defending it, for that matter, if you have strong feelings here), but combat does seem likely to continue.

With the probable exception of Hrunndalf, who will need to be informed of what has been said, it is reasonable to assume that your character can count and is aware of the way the majority vote has gone.

The dragon, of course, will not be aware of the decision unless someone tells her.

Male Human (Ulfen) Oracle of Battle 10

I believe a Fireball instantly destroys fog... do we think she is still in there?

Hrunndalf Jarlsson wrote:

I will note that this depends on which of the many fog-producing spells has been used.

You are now 8th level. Increase your relationship score with ONE significant NPC by +1; Increase your hit points by 1/2 a die (plus your Constitution bonus and potentially your favored class bonus.)

Voting has already pre-selected "Scavengers" as the 8th level Caravan feat.

Alaric's 8th level character sheet is APPROVED.

Not Claimable:

6294 gp

Male Human Cleric 10

The ring of feather falling please.

Male Human (Ulfen) Oracle of Battle 10

The talisman sounds great, though I figure it would be somewhat more appropriate for Kalimac, what with the "emergency mount" function. Also, given that charges can be hard to set up, it's good to have a reroll to make that one charge count.

Oh, and I believe Hrunndalf is leveled. I'm not 100% sure about my choice of 4th-level spell yet, but "Luxan Tongue Strike" (Spit Venom) is just too appropriate to the whole D'argo parallel to ignore. ;o)

Also, while I will rarely get the Fort save through to do poison damage, no-save blindness for one round upon a ranged touch attack is pretty damn powerful. Would have crippled the dragon's attacks, for example.

Hrunndalf is APPROVED.
