The caravan has 4,828 gp and 4 sp in its fund.
To upgrade the covered wagon (reinforced) to prisoner wagon (reinforced) will cost 3,500 gp. Doing so will increase the caravan's hp by 20 and caravan's security by 2, but decrease cargo capacity by 2.
Or we could upgrade all the wagons with enhanced undercarriages (+8 miles per day) for the cost of 500/wagon (3,500).
Or we could save it for purchasing magic storage space (bags of holding/portable hole).

quoting because i'm going off 3 hours of sleep and i need someone to translate for me...
"In return, I shall consider the matter of my slain children over and done. If you like, I shall promise to attack neither the town of Iqaliat, nor anyone from it, nor you, save for anyone among those named who has personally attacked me, to demonstrate my good faith in this matter. A considerable concession."
does this mean that she will attack those of us who attacked her? because that's what i'm getting from this.
also, she speaks common?

Kalimac Proudfoot |

Apparently she speaks common.
My take from her statement is that all this business about her slain children is done. Iqaliat is safe from her, unless some idiot comes and starts trouble.
Basically the weregild payment expunges the crimes of her slain children. Any crimes or insults outside that are still fair game. But she is conceding to not attacking Iqaliat just because it's there.
I think. I could be reading this wrong as well.

She's not ruling out attacking those of us who attacked her -- but I don't think she's stating an intention to do it, either.
I read it as "leave me alone and I'll leave you alone -- bother me and I'll kill you."
...and apparently she speaks Common.

If the deal is made, the NPCs will scrape enough together to make the amount each of you would have to pay 800 gp.
Right now I count two votes definitely in favor (Rhost and Kalimac.) Since everyone seems to be generally willing to go along with how the group decides on this one, unless there is protest, I will consider the matter settled when there is a majority of votes (at least four) for either yea or nay.

Rhost Mab-i-gof |

I should stop pre-rolling crit damage for the remote possibility of landing one. It still hasn't ever occurred so far, and it's depressing to see a 91 hp strike go to waste. :P
I admit that some sick part of me wants to take Cleave and Great Cleave and wade out into a sea of combatants -- which would be a lot of "(and if I hit)Roll To Hit The Next Guy:"
One vote for upgrading the covered wagon (reinforced) -> prisoner wagon (reinforced) ... and buying repair materials to replace what we've used.

Voting is going to close on this quite soon, because I need to know the Caravan's stats when your journey north resumes. So if you have an opinion on this, now is the time to weigh in.

magic storage would be cool.
but making the covered wagon safer should be more of a priority, i think. can it hold the same amount of people as a covered wagon? (asking only because we are loosing storage capacity)

Melinda Sorn |

The prisoner wagon can hold 6 people, but the storage capacity is only 2. (The covered wagon has 4.)
On the extra dimensional storage... we should not use portable holes...
bag of holding I - 1 storage - 2500 gp
bag of holding II - 2 storage - 5000 gp
bag of holding III - 3 storage - 7500 gp
bag of holding IV - 4 storage - 10,000 gp
portable hole - 5 storage - 20,000 gp
... I recommend buying 2 bags of holding IV over 1 portable hole... for obvious reasons...

If you're curious, it was 10d4 ⇒ (1, 4, 2, 2, 2, 1, 1, 1, 2, 3) = 19, divided in half if you make a DC 19 Reflex Save, 1d20 ⇒ 5 plus your bonus.
So that would be 19 for you.

Since everyone seems to be generally willing to go along with how the group decides on this one, unless there is protest, I will consider the matter settled when there is a majority of votes (at least four) for either yea or nay.
As mentioned on the IC board, we now have four "no" votes (Alaric, Myriana, Liothonae, Melinda) that I do not believe are going to flip. Since at least part of the argument is against leaving a dangerous predator behind, I also do not think a minority agreeing to the deal would be acceptable to the voters on the other side. I am therefore assuming the deal is off, by majority vote of the group.
Obviously, no further combat action has happened yet, so discussion can still continue if you like, but definitely please do post your round 4 combat action, whatever that may be. No one will be forced to attack the dragon, obviously (or prevented from defending it, for that matter, if you have strong feelings here), but combat does seem likely to continue.
With the probable exception of Hrunndalf, who will need to be informed of what has been said, it is reasonable to assume that your character can count and is aware of the way the majority vote has gone.
The dragon, of course, will not be aware of the decision unless someone tells her.

The talisman sounds great, though I figure it would be somewhat more appropriate for Kalimac, what with the "emergency mount" function. Also, given that charges can be hard to set up, it's good to have a reroll to make that one charge count.
Oh, and I believe Hrunndalf is leveled. I'm not 100% sure about my choice of 4th-level spell yet, but "Luxan Tongue Strike" (Spit Venom) is just too appropriate to the whole D'argo parallel to ignore. ;o)
Also, while I will rarely get the Fort save through to do poison damage, no-save blindness for one round upon a ranged touch attack is pretty damn powerful. Would have crippled the dragon's attacks, for example.
