Reincarnated druid

Rules Questions

Hello, a question about the reincarnated druid archetype.

Quote:
Many Lives (Ex): At 5th level, if a reincarnated druid is killed, she may automatically reincarnate (as the spell) 1 day later. The reincarnated druid appears in a safe location within 1 mile of her previous body. At will for the next 7 days, she can sense the presence of her remains as if using locate object as a spell-like ability. If she is killed during these 7 days, she remains dead and does not reincarnate. The many lives ability does not function ifthe reincarnated druid is slain by a death effect. A reincarnated druid cannot be raised from the dead or resurrected, though she can be reincarnated.

What is the utility/interest for a character that can locate her remains ?

Thanks for your future answer.

Find his corpse and loot his previous possession ? Bury himself with honor ? Avenge his own death ?

That's all I'm thinking for now ;) Knowing my players the first thing will be their priority though :p

The interest for the character, IMO, is that he know where to get his remains (and by remains I mean his gear).

It isn't fool-proof as the corpse might have been looted and left behind.

His killer could be in the zone, too. Is a very useful ability, and should not be understimated.

Shadow Lodge

2 people marked this as a favorite.

Can't let the killers keep the TARDIS. Very bad things happen in that case.

:D

After you are reincarnated use raise dead for a clone?

I would imagine Raise Dead would prove ineffective since your soul already has a new body

Liberty's Edge

Animate Dead, on the other hand, could be all kinds of wrong fun.

That's a whole 'nother can of worms right there lol, but yes, I think the Soul issue would prevent the clone unless you can first clone your soul. *ponders a new spell*

Reincarnated druid + Brightness Seeker = win.

As long as you stay in non-animal form...die in animal form as a Brightness Seeker...I dare ya.

Gentle Repose + Animate Dead = Stunt Double.

How about Gentle Repose every time you die, and make a museum of you-statue corpses? :D

It would take a lot of upkeep, but can you really say it wouldn't be worth it? Make sure to include the manner of your death Agrajag-style... (props if you get the reference)

Since its already going to a point your GM is okay just grab some shirts of gentle repose from 3.5 and be all good.

I like the way you think, you Multiple-Me-Murderer, you.

Ohh, nice!
Nameless one from Planetscape Torment, anyone?
Too good to let it pass!
