Help me build a Witch please

Advice

Grand Lodge

I like the witch class, and find it quite interesting.

But I am just missing something in its build. I just can't find that certain umph. Get me to build a fighter, cleric or rogue and look out! But my witch builds are... lacking.

Can someone please help me build a 3rd level witch? Two requirements.

1) Must use the old elite array (15, 14, 13, 12, 10, 8)
2) Must use Coven hex.

I need this build to be as lethal as possible. :)

Is this for a PC or NPC? I ask because they are not built the same in many situations.

Have you checked out c873788's Guide to Witches?

Why the focus on damage?

I mean at that level I think Burning Gaze steps in, but I'm curious what your looking for?

He didn't actually say damage, he just said lethal.

Slumber+CDG is ...pretty lethal.

I'm making a witch now, and I'm looking at MASSIVE debuff stacking (Pox Pustules, Bestow Curse, Evil Eye, Crushing Despair). Being debuffed into the ground is usually pretty lethal, but I don't get the feeling that the OP is looking for that route.

One possibility is reducing saves in this manner and using Save or Dies or Reflex Save blast spells. But honestly, if you're looking blaster, sorc is probably a better option.

By the by, I've elected not to take the Slumber Hex because it's just too powerful to be fun. If that doesn't bother you, give it a consideration.

If you want to go debuff. Halfling Witch Jinx caster. By level 9 you can get your evil eye to -7 to saves. Then all you need is 11 to take split hex feet. Now your hiting two targets with -7 to all save. And then Accursed Hex just to make sure it sticks. Yep it's a one trick pony with the evil eye hex. It's still not bad becous after you get them with evil eye next round you can cast any thing you want on them. The draw back is in action econemy. If there is a 2nd caster in the group it's great just make a healing Witch. And use the Evil Eye hex as your combat action.
Halfling Jinx (Racial Trait)
the 5 feets you need to make it work are.
Malicious Eye:Benefit: When a creature fails its save against your evil eye hex, add the effect of your jinx to the effect of the hex. The save penalties from the hex and jinx stack.
Halfling Jinxes:Benefit: A jinxed target’s penalty on Fortitude, Reflex, or Will saves increases by 2 if you have the Great Fortitude, Lightning Reflexes, or Iron Will feat, respectively. If you have more than one of these feats, the additional penalties apply to all of the corresponding saves.
Iron Will
Lighting Reflexes
Great Fortitude

Grand Lodge

yep this is an npc.

I want lethal so it has a chance to last more than one round against PCs :)

Calagnar... NIIIIIICE :)

It has to be a witch to work in a Hag's coven which is part of the story. :) Not necessarily a blaster. Looking for something with witch "flavor."

And yeah that slumber is NASTY! Perhaps TOO nasty? Good lord who put that in the game?

Silver Crusade

You can do the same with the sleep spell. Web then Sleep and CDG. Web is the inportant part so they can't wake each other befor you get them all sleeping.
