Yesterday I lost my Dust match with axis forces...couldn't reach his pounder/steel rain combo with my luther/hans/hermann gang :(
Oh well, we got our results right after the exam - I keep my fingers crossed.

Sadly he found two quite good spots do overlook the whole battlefield...stupid Luther just lacks firepower, should have taken a Jagdluther instead.
And my major mistake was that I hadn't enough armour-killers. Should have taken heavy laser infantry instead of the guys with the Fliegerfaust.
That will do it. The Allies seem to have a couple of pretty powerful units. What about the SSU? I can't bring myself to play the commies for some reason, lol.

yeah very cool news. Cook's Numenera setting sounds and looks amazing.

speaking of kickstarters, i tossed a couple doubloons down on Razor Coast. From the bits I've picked up from before the project disappeared into the Bermuda Triangle, it should be worth the wait.
Aye - Razor Coast is on my watch list. Probably poney up for that soonish.

As long as I don't get eaten by the roach-beast they previewed I'm all good.
Had a rude shock first shower I took when I came back from holidays when six big ol' roaches climbed out of my drain and joined me in the shower cubicle... had to get stompy.
I've had to do that with giant centipedes before, I but had to go get my slippers first...couldn't think of doing that bare-footed.
We have a roach problem around here as well, but most of the government officials in Chicago are too fat to step on, even with slippers.

LOL, my shrieked in a public bathroom once an I ran in thinking that someone had attacked her. Turns out that a 3 or 4 incher crawled out of the floor drain. I was scared at first then got angry when it was just a roach, lol. They live in the ground in Okinawa and will move into parked cars after a rain. When I say move I mean set up Soviet Bloc housing in your car....like Joe's Apartment. So gross. Like opening your car door to find the Temple of Doom has replaced the interior.

There is currently one little roacher living in the bathroom of our guesthouse. We named him Franky.
Ha! Where there is one there are hundreds. Trust me, if you've seen one there are many, many more you aren't seeing.
I have let a wolf spider loose into the wall of an apartment I had to take out the cricket that lived right by headboard. After the beast got loose in there I never heard a peep from any other bug again, lol.

we actually call the little guys German cockroaches.
Coastal Texas is tropical enough that they get the big bugger that fly at you aiming right for the throat.

disaapointed! they (being the typically inaccurate weather forecasters) promised 3-6 inches of snow and we got....<drumroll>....NONE!

I am unfamiliar with this snow concept. The last time we had more than an inch of snow in Chicago was March 5 of last year, almost a year ago. Good thing global warming is just a liberal hoax.

Bah - the southern part of NH, that is nothing. My parents lived in Pinkham's Notch in 1969. Here is a recounting of the moderate snows they had that year.
Annoyed that my ex is once again ruining my weekend. He only gets her every other weekend, claims to want her more than that, but apparently can't even handle that. So, I don't get to go to the bar tonight, and the baby shower I have to go to tomorrow (out of town) just became a whole crap load more complicated.

Iv'e had a heluva week. I'm going to make sure I don't eat a big dinner, to insure more room for beer.
These "heluva week" weeks seem to be gaining in frequency, and this saddens me. Blarg.

Tired as hell. Summer here means it's either hot, humid or raining (most times two of them, right now the three). Add that to the fact I'm trying to get more exercise and a diet and you have one sad sweaty fat guy.
edit: That might be more of a mental image than you guys asked for. Sorry for that.

Anyone playing or own "Only War." Haven't had a chance to look it over yet.
In one PbP and have the Beta PDF (haven't picked up the final one yet).
It's in line with the other 40K RPG offerings, just with some changes for regiment creation and some campaign colour for working within greater battles with requisition, etc.
Really think that FF could have made things MUCH easier if they just published one 40K RPG ruleset, then made the additional settings / books splatbook style updates rather than complete re-hashes.

Fantasy Flight seems to be pretty greedy and prone to just going with whatever seems to feel like a good idea this week.

Yeah everything has all been set in place by the courts by this time, but it doesn't stop him from finding ways to be controlling and manipulative.
