I am considering running a Ptolus campaign on the boards here. Early days yet, but I would require 6 players. We would be using 3.5 rules and I would be looking for players who were willing to post on a regular, daily basis and really get into the role of the character.
All races and classes would be from the standard 3.5 players handbook.
I would require 2 fighter types, 1 wizard, 1 cleric, 1 rogue and 1 other.
Starting level will probably be 1.
Familiarity with the setting is not required and to be honest I would probably prefer a fresh outlook on the game.
Once I have picked players I will post a load of info on the setting and player aids on a seperate thread.

Good to hear from you Faust. How is Grog? You are lucky as I have slept on this and I think I will go with Pathfinder rules instead. I will have to convert on the fly but it shouldnt be too difficult I think. Again, it will just be base classes from the main rules.

No APG, sorry. Stats are 4d6 and pick best 3. Full hp at first level. I will put some details on the setting on a discussion thread entitled AJ's Dads Ptolus background soon. Also, could people let me know how familiar they are with the setting. It doesnt make any difference. Im just curious.

I like me some Ptolus. I've got the hardcover, and 2-3 of the players guides, but have neither played nor ran in the city. Would love to. I've got a concept for a pole-arm fighter...maybe ex or current city guard. I'd like a spot.

I can post regularly (once or twice per day) and am familiar with most basic Pathfinder rules (though most of my experience comes from D&D 3.x a few years back).

The main religion is as follows.
While the Church of Lothian remains the official religion of the Empire, tied closely to every aspect of Imperial government, many other far smaller and less popular religions exist as well. These faiths worship gods like the chaotic good Ahaar, Lord of the Air, a minor elemental sky god; the chaotic neutral Fifty-Three Gods of Chance, deities of chaos and randomness; Gaen, Goddess of Light, a
popular lawful good deity; and the lawful neutral Teun, Mother of All Machines, goddess of technology.
And these are just examples.
I am inviting more applicants for this game as I still require a couple more players.

Sadly, I won't be able to put up a character until next week. I'm hosting 75+ Pathfinder players at Kublacon this weekend and won't have a free brain cell until Wednesday.
I'm happy to fill in any role if I can get you a character next week. I've played a small part of Ptolus (a Leonin (?) cleric..up to lvl 2) several years ago and would happily explore more of the city.

id be willing to give it a go... this a rouge from a year or so ago from a campagin that never started would be only 2 or 3 PBP but ive play at least a 1/2 of dozen or campagin... could post most days
would be willing edit or create another Chacter for this i've played a lot of D&D 3.5, 3.0 some 4.0 also Pathfinder... even some star wars this chacter is some thing differnt for me usally play magic user and fighers mostly gnome or dwarfs...

I have a cleric I'd love to try out, I know nothing of Ptolus, but this guy was built using Pathfinder core rules, although I did use 15 point buy, if you look at his stats I don't think you can say that I used point buy to min/max :)
I would like to play PF game on a forum. I have all the core rule books, but no one around me with the time to play actual table sessions.
Is there a space still available? I can play any character, but magic user characters are my favourite. Definitely can post every day.
