Hi
I'm considering making a witch, starting at 1st level.
I'm not sure what feat to pick though.
From a RP perspective it makes sense for my witch to have the cauldron hex and be able to make potions, but that means she can't do one of the others.
So I thought to take Extra Hex and get one of them. Heard Evil Eye is pretty good. (Don't think it needs Cackle right away, I can pick up that at 2nd level then)
Which stat is generally the best to debuff with Evil Eye?
But is it a good idea to use Extra Hex for the 1st level feat, or are there feats that are just too important to have right away?
What if I go with a human, is spending one of my two starting feats on Extra Hex, or perhaps even both, a good idea?

Unless you don't have a party healer other then you. Cauldron is kind of a wast. At level one Evil Eye, Slumber, or Misfortune should be your first Hex.
Making a healing witch. Patron Healing. Starting with the following is not a bad.Hex: Evil Eye Feat: Exta Hex: Healing, Spell Focus: Enchantment
Then you need to pick up.
Hex: Fly, Slumber, Cackle, Hag's Eye, ( To me are the most inportant one for a witch to have.)
Feats: Greater Spell Focus enchanment, Spell Focus and Greater Spell Focus Transmutation ( They cover most of the witch spells that require save DC.) Intensified Spell ( after level 5 is realy nice to have.) Persistant Spell,

In playing a witch I found misfortune and fortune, both put into play and extended with cackle to be a powerful combination. I took extra hex as my extra feat and stacked cackle on top of misfortune right at first level. My decisions were not based on character flavor, however, but optimizing debuff power. IMO, however, the hexes are so good you definitely want to take extra hex at first level.
