I don't see why not. I always through they could, especially as you said "like an animal companion" as a Eidolon kind of is an outsider version.


it's pretty much an up to your gm thing. if you look at animal companions the list of feats don't include the Beastiary ones. that said I don't see an issue with it, but it's up to your gm.

The bestiary lists the following under monster feats:

"Most of the following feats apply specifically to monsters, although some player characters might qualify for them (particularly Craft Construct)."
And the feats section of an eidolon states: "Eidolons can select any feat that they qualify for, but they must possess the appropriate appendages to use some feats."
I allow these feats for anyone as long as they meet the prerequisites. I think they are only classified as monster feats since usually only monsters meet those (like fly speed, Str>26 etc.).
So yes. IMO it's legal to use them on an eidolon.

Sure if they qualify. Just remember that feat choices are for life even if you change the Eidolon the next time you evolve it.
