The Queen from Snow White- creation ideas?

Advice

hi
First off, i'm a newbie at this...sorry about hijacking someone-elses thread- duely chastised :(
Second thanks to Wilhem and Greg for being sweet and puting me in the right direction.

Hi all,
Would like to pose a question about levelling and character design....
I want to create a witch /??? character based on the Queen out of Snow White and the Seven (Severed?) Dwarves
Manipulative but secretive , regal, power freak with arrogant tendencies, possibly vain
Anyway currently my character is a Witch2 with
Str 10
Dex 16
Con 15
int 19
Wis 14
Char 15
-Cat familiar (Raphael)-black "knowitall" cat
Patron Transformation
Cauldron and slumber hexes
Magical talent Spark
Main weapon Poisoned darts
Additional:has Harrow deck performer and cartography profession.
Could you suggest a level progession, toyinying with the idea of multiclassing into oracle or sorcerer?

I haven't really read up on the witch much, so I can't make any character builds off the bat, but I'm not sure we have enough to go on. You've told us who the character is (which is the more important part), but not very much about what you would like her to do. Are you looking for a character who can bend other people to her whim? One who casts curses and transforms things into other things? Tell us what it is about what the Queen does that you want to emulate, and we'll be happy to make suggestions.

Off the bat, based on the personality you specified, I'd suggest loading up on enchantment spells, spell focus (enchantment), and similar things. Maybe someone who's more familiar with the witch can help with the hex suggestions, although I'll go look them up later too.

Whatever you choose just don't forget to have the highest "form of the Dragon" spell you can. ;-)

You just gave me an idea. The APG has a Serpentine bloodline that fits pretty well with the queens enchantment/transformation theme. You'd have to play the "snake and fangs" part of the class down, but I can see it being just underneath her public persona.

Should play the witch based on Sleeping Beauty rather.

Her name is Maleficent.

Which is a play on the words

Malefic (Evil; malicious) and Magnificent.

Truly one of the best Disney villains ever made in my opinion.

She's my favorite. My second favorite is Ursula, The Sea Witch.

Well, if you want to avoid her death (film version) she should pick up a way to avoid falling from great heights.

If you want to avoid her death (story version) some heat resistance should go a long long way.

You just make sure to take beguiling gift and threefold aspect (to be the old crone)as spells, along with some of the wondrous poisoned apples.

You could simply use the Queen from the Curse of the Crimson Throne AP. You wouldn't even have to do any real modifications, as she's only a wall mirror away from being the Snow White Queen to begin with.

The Exchange

A level progression is harder to recommend for a Witch since most of her powers are derived from hexes and spells. Below are what I thought are relevant to the queen in Snow White.

Hex (aside from the 2 you already mentioned)
- Charm hex - perfect for the "Mirror, mirror on the wall / Who in the land is fairest of all" type
- Disguise hex - fits into where she disguises herself to kill Snow White.

Spells:

1st lvl
- Beguiling Gift - a poison apple, perhaps?
- Charm Person
- Command - fits into the arrogant theme
- Sleep
- Summon Monster I - why fight when others can do it for u?

2nd lvl
- Alter Self
- Enthrall
- Fog Cloud - smoke and mirrors, why not?
- Hold Person

I mostly stuck with charming and command spells. Alternatively, you can also invest in spells that debuff (weakens) your opponent, such as ray of enfeeblement or Pox Pustules (how dare you be more beautiful than I am!).

Patron
- Trickery - There's some good stuff in there. Transformation sounds cool, but you kind of don't want to get into melee. Up to you.

Hope this helps. Good luck with that queen!

Malificent is also one of my fav's, ability to transform into a dragon is cool, but prefer the understated evilness of the queen.

Ever see "enchanted"- scrying would also be a useful skill.

Perhaps i should mention that i am part of a group curently doing the "Smugglers Shiv"
We just got to the bottom of the island-
No further info otherwise it might spoil things- One NPC is being cruel to Raphael- would love to try something like pox pustules (Muh ha ha)

I was intrigued with the oracle heavens and haunted set -lure of the heavens(mysterious and creepy) and the sorcerer dragon bloodline (obvious dragon conection)as possible avenues to pursue

I think im going for "point and send minions" and seductive, beguiling and sinister.

Any thoughts?

Why a cat and not a raven (Diablo)?
