Alright, that's it. Time to nip this in the bud.
KOBOLD CLEAVER IS WRONG! WRONG! WRONG, WRONG, WRONG!!!
Wrong, incorrect, false, stupid, bad at research, possessing no knowledge of vampire mythology beyond Twilight and Buffy, possessing an irrational hatred of vampires due to both of these sources, a yappy little lizard, one of the few folk to get in trouble multiple times for poodle spamming, annoying, not actually a lich and not as good a miner as the meanest dwarf! Wrong, wrong wrong!
Any questions?
Wasn't there supposed to be a part of that description that describes a kobold cleaver as attractive? I hear that's all the rage in creature descriptions ... :D

How come no one has mentioned the first vegetarian vampire?
Because Vincent, the vegetable vampire, was played by Morgan ¨God¨ Freeman and he is awesomeness personified.

The fact that at any given time 2 teenagers (of the non super-powered variety) can over power themThey so had super powers. "Protagonist of the TV show" is one of the most powerful super powers in existence.

... The turing to dust bit...That's the Saturday Afternoon thing again, I guess. The good old fountain of blood thing is hilarious, I won't deny that, but not so good if you want to cater to a younger audience.

(and has all your memories, and personality... and really ARE you!)I like the "demon within" aspect of Dresen Files vampires. Especially White Court. You're still you, but you also have a demon within you. You can call it a separate personality and vampires totally schizo, but that inner demon is quite powerful, and even if they want to, few could resist it forever. Never mind that most won't even try.
Ahhhhh Can't WAIT to read the Dresden files!! I'm on the waiting list for my friends copies... LOVED the TV show, and heard the books are MUCH better.
I can tolerate the dust thing, for the reasons you stated. in the commentaries they even mentioned they didn't want the visual of the teenage girl burying bodies... so that's fine... The dust issue.. is it just looks too EASY.
My biggest problem were how pathetic the vamps were... I can DEAL with a supernatural slayer killing them by the dozens... but Vampires should be POWERFUL... And protagonist powers or not... When two human teens can fight off these supposedly 'scary' monsters... I tend to just groan a lot...
Ironically... Xander was my favorite character IN the show.. but yeah, he should have died a dozen times over...
One of my other friends who is also a big Buffy fan put it pretty well...
"Vampires... Once you get past the fear of them... They aren't that tough to kill." ;)

I think the idea was a fairly weak type of demon hybrid. That's why they're regarded as pathetic by the demon community. In game terms, it'd be around 18 Strength, and above average Constitution and Dexterity. So, a significant threat to normal humans, but not unbeatable. Especially not when Xander has at least five levels of Commoner. :P

Ninjas are overpowered/underpowered/replacing rogues too much/not replacing monks enough/not nearly as overpowered as gunslingers/not yet official, and I'd never take a class that might be badly written/not western enough/inferior to pirates/superior to pirates/not cake, which is a lie/wielding katanas, which should be equivalent to scimitars/wielding katanas, which should be better or worse than scimitars/looking kinda silly in their black toilet paper getup.Wait, what were we talking about?
Pick a thread, any thread (awesome)...

And, also, Vincent, the vegetable vampire was first. Bunnicula was written two years after they stopped making Electric Company episodes.
Count von Count, on the other hand ... what does he eat, again?
