Male Shoanti Human Barbarian 2

I will be away from my computer until Friday. Please don't hesitate to run me if needed.

Shadow Lodge

Apologies for the delay. My Dad's been into hospital for some scans, and the rest of the family's been busier than usual. Because of this, I had an old ulcer flare up, which took me out for a few days.

Shadow Lodge

The goblin dog-handler leaps across the room, to strike at Galstok.

Attack 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17 (Crikey!)
Damage 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

This one appears to have rather more fight in him than the others, wielding what appears to be a long-bladed glaive, with the haft chopped down.

Male Shoanti Human Barbarian 2

I am beginning to think that the others have quit on us.

Male Human (Varisian) Rogue 2

agreed! Time for more goblin fodder!

I am wondering the same. Waiting for my turn.

Liberty's Edge

Sorry; that's my mistake. It's me next, after all. I lost internet connection over the weekend.

Tregar shoots again at the rat-dog;

Attack 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9

then drops his bow, to unhook his spiked club.

Shadow Lodge

Sephird is next; the situation he is aware of, is that Galstok is being accosted by a rank and file goblin, plus the dog-handler.
The dog is still at the east door, having still failed to act yet.
A goblin is at the bottom of the stairs, in front of their caster.
There are sounds of crashing about in the goblin nursery to his right.

As he's still in the south corridor, all opponents will take at least a move action to reach.

Could you please tell me where exactly Valoria is?

Male Human (Varisian) Rogue 2

"well someone stepped in it," Sephird opens the door, and will fire at any that looks like a caster, then any not in melee.

perception to identify best target 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7; attack with shortbow 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20; damage 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5 if the goblin is still FF, then add 1d6 ⇒ 5 sneak attack.

Shadow Lodge

Your options for targets not in melee, are the regular goblin at the foot of the stairs, the caster behind him (using him as cover), or the rat-dog. Given that you've just got there, the caster in the rear may not be obvious as a caster, so your priorities would likely be the front goblin or the rat-dog.

If you went for the goblin, he is startled by your appearance, but manages to avoid the worst of the shot (ie not flat-footed). He takes the arrowhead slicing across his arm, and squeals in pain, but doesn't fall.

Shadow Lodge

The rat-dog scrabbles at the door, and slips inside, trying to take a chunk out of Tregar.

Attack 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10

Shadow Lodge

Valoria is up next; she is ten feet down the south corridor, with a partial view to the stairs. Completing the summon spell from last round will be the first thing to happen, then she can take a normal round of actions. If she takes a step forward first, she will have enough range to place a Small or Medium creature behind the caster on the stairs.

Shadow Lodge

Off to Paizocon UK for the weekend. I'm hoping to be able to log on while I'm there.

Valoria steps forward just enough to place a creature behind the spell caster to cause mayhem from behind and to keep the spell caster busy and not focussed on the rest of the group.

Shadow Lodge

Back from Paizocon UK...

What creature would you like to bring out?
Anything Medium or smaller can fit in the gap on the stairs.

Shadow Lodge

You are also able to begin a new round of actions, after the summoned creature appears.

Summon viper snake in gap of stairs.

Shadow Lodge

A celestial viper, I presume?

It lands behind the caster (normally it would incur an AoO to enter her square, but I'll have it drop in), calls her out as its chosen foe, and tries to sink it's fangs in.

Attack 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18
Damage 1+1(smite) + poison

Caster save 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

"GAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!"

Poison damage 1d2 ⇒ 1 Con

I don't know how familiar you are with the changes in poison between 3.5 and PF, but not all failed saves result in immediate damage. This one does, since it has no onset time, and she will be subject to further saves on future rounds, until she shakes it off.

Shadow Lodge

Valoria, you can also act normally for this round, after the snake appears.

Casting Time wrote:
A spell that takes 1 round to cast is a full-round action. It comes into effect just before the beginning of your turn in the round after you began casting the spell. You then act normally after the spell is completed.

I simply choose the viper for being small to fit in between the stairs and would be difficult target to hit, while it did bite attacks. I did not even look up the poison.

Valoria remains where she is looking out for potential threats.

Seeing name, Lady GaGaaaahhh, immediately made me think of singer Lady Gaga. Hope the goblin one is rather good looking too.

Shadow Lodge

I imagine the goblin has better dress sense. LOL

I can put you as delaying (a full action), or readying (only a standard, but can interrupt).

Orik comes clattering round the corner, to stand in front of Valoria, across the threshold.
He throws down the remaining armour plates, and stands guard.

"Who's left?"

Shadow Lodge

The remaining goblins in the main room appear nervous, but do not break.
The sudden appearance of Orik seems to have confused them.
They look back to the stairs for guidance.

Shadow Lodge

The two goblins in the nursery simply continue as normal, being relatively unaware of the events in the main room.

Attack 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19
Damage 1d4 ⇒ 1

Attack 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11

One catches Ensu with his rusted blade.

The goblin caster starts screaming at the others to fight on, bolstering their nerve.
The goblin warrior in the main room has effectively delayed, but not by enough to change the running order.

"A witch! A b*+#~!
Put her in a stitch!
Go stroke her,
With a red hot poker.
Poke, poke, poke, poke
Poke her face!"

Sorry, but it had to be done...

Shadow Lodge

The running order is now;

Goblins in nursery 22
Goblin caster 20
Goblin in main room 20
Ensu 19
Galstok 15
Goblin Ranger 11
Tregar 7
Sephird 6
Goblin Dog 5
Valoria 5
Orik 4

Shadow Lodge

The goblin facing Galstok steps back in, emboldened by the song.

Attack 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16

He couldn't quite get to flank you, and you weren't raging, either of which would have made that a hit.

Male Gnome Cleric 2 (Nethys)

Ensu pulls out his dagger, and starts to fight defensively, calling for help.

"In here, two more!"

Attack 1d20 - 3 ⇒ (17) - 3 = 14

Shadow Lodge

And we're back to Galstok.
I need to update this map, but you have two opponents in reach, one is the goblin who just attacked, the other is the dog handler.

Male Shoanti Human Barbarian 2

After dodging out of the way of the goblin's strike, Galstok counters by slashing downward across his body at the goblin.

Attack(PA):1d20 + 6 - 1 ⇒ (9) + 6 - 1 = 14
Damage(PA):1d4 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 4 + 2 = 8

Shadow Lodge

That inspiring song must have improved his reflexes, as well.
He skitters to one side, as the blade passes him.

Shadow Lodge

THe dog-handler steps into the corner and takes his swing;

Attack 1d20 + 4 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 4 + 1 + 2 = 26
Damage 1d8 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 + 1 = 8

Cutting Galstok in the back.

Liberty's Edge

Tregar swings his club;

Attack 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12

"Blast it."

And it's now Sephird.

Male Human (Varisian) Rogue 2

If Sephird can get into flanking, he'll do this, otherwise look below

Dropping the bow, Sephird draws his weapons as he moves into flanking position of one of the goblins before taking a swing.

Rapier 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7

And, he drops the rapier. Blasted butterfingers.

If he can't get into a flanking position, he reloads his shortbow and will attempt a shot on a goblin not in melee, followed by the caster, or any other goblin.

Shortbow 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13
damage 1d8 ⇒ 1

Is Valoria same from any threat so she can use her crossbow to shoot at the caster. The snake probably would continue attack from between the steps.

Shadow Lodge

Valoria is safe from melee; anyone wishing to get to her would have to get through Orik, and possibly incur AoO from Galstok or Sephird as well.
I'll try to get the updated map up this afternoon.

Rolls:
Snake bite attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
Snake damage: 1
Snake Poison: 1d2 ⇒ 1 Con if needed

Valoria crossbow attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
Valoria crossbow damage: 1d8 ⇒ 2

Shadow Lodge

The goblin dog tries to bite again.

Attack 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9

Orik steps forward, under the lantern, and swings at the injured goblin at the foot of the stairs.

Attack 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27
Confirm 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21

Damage 2d10 + 4 ⇒ (10, 7) + 4 = 21

His change of allegiance obviously takes the goblin by surprise, as it makes no effort to defend itself, until it realises his intent too late, and fails to prevent the blade bisecting its head.

"Hhmph."

Shadow Lodge

New map is HERE;

Ignore the goblin at the bottom of the stairs, he is quite clearly dead.

Initiative for next round is as follows:

Goblins in nursery 22
Goblin caster 20
Ensu 19
Galstok 15
Goblin Ranger 11
Tregar 7
Sephird 6
Goblin Dog 5
Valoria 5
Orik 4

Shadow Lodge

Apologies for being away a few days, things have been hectic. I've applied for two jobs, been accepted on a work-learning scheme, my mother put her leg in a splint, and my dad is going into hospital after having his brain operation moved forward. All during school holidays, with two kids, one of whom is autistic. Such fun!

Male Shoanti Human Barbarian 2

Did you want me to go ahead and post Galstok's actions or wait till the caster goes?

The goblin bard turns to chop at the snake, still berating everyone.

Attack 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22
Confirm 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17

Damage 2d4 ⇒ (3, 1) = 4

"Die, stupid No-legs! Dirty trick! Not brave, like gobboes!"

The snake is lifted in the air, on the point of her knife, collapsing in a heap.
She then looks round, and staggers up the stairs, away from the fight.

2 poison saves (since I missed one earlier)
1d20 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 1 = 19
1d20 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 1 = 18

Shadow Lodge

Goblins in the nursery (now inspired);

1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13

One cuts him, for 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2 damage.

Male Gnome Cleric 2 (Nethys)

Ensu continues to fight defensively;

1d20 - 3 ⇒ (4) - 3 = 1

Shadow Lodge

And we're back to Galstok.

Apologies for the delay, I've been covering both parents, a grandparent, and two kids on holiday. Thanks to everyone who sticks with this.

Male Shoanti Human Barbarian 2

If i haven't said it before, family comes first. if doing this is adding too much on to your plate, take care of the rest first.

Galstok turns his wrist and brings his blade back up to strike at the goblin again.

Attack (pa):1d20 + 6 - 1 ⇒ (5) + 6 - 1 = 10
Damage (pa):1d4 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 4 + 2 = 7

Upon missing he will five-foot north into the corner.

Shadow Lodge

That puts you out of risk of flanking, and leaves him free, so he has three potential targets;

Orik is more heavily armoured, and he knows he's a badass,
Sephird doesn't look as tough, but he'd have to incur AoO to get to him.

So he'll 5' step up to keep pace with you.

Attack 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6

but his momentary indecision seems to have affected his aim.
