If you could write a Pathfinder adventure module?

Homebrew and House Rules

If you could write a pathfinder adventure module, what would it be?

Who would be the heroes?

Who would be the villains?

What would be the plot?

This thread is to show off your creative talent!

Give an description and a background for at least two adventures!

You can even post artwork if you want. ^_^

I’ll start:

One Winged Angel:

Adventure Description
An adventure for 16th level PC’s which will ultimate take them to 20th level. While traveling through the wilderness of Cheliax, the PC’s are hired by the Church of Cayden Cailean to rescue one of the Accidental God’s very heralds from a temple of Asmodeus in Cheliax and stop the machinations of the church of the overlord of Hell itself. Will the PC’s succeed or be damned fr all eternity by Asmodeus’s self-styled “One Winged Angel”?

Adventure Background
Years ago, Thais, the Accidental Herald of Cayden Cailean was tricked by the overlord of Hell itself, Asmodeus, into combat in Hell itself. Thais barely escaped alive and ended up loosing her feathered sixth wing (which rerepsents Autonomy or freedom from oppression). For decades Asmodeus held it as a trophy in his palace on the 9th Layer of Hell, as both an insult to Cayden and the gods of purity. Now Asmodeus has finally found a use for Thais’s 6th wing, two uses in as a matter of fact. Not only has he managed to instruct a powerful Hellknight named Sieghart to initiate a ritual to graft the wing to his own body, thus fueling one of his own damned servant’s powers with the subsumed divine power of Cayden but in doing so he has also managed to lure Thais once again into a trap. Thais currently lies spread upon upon an altar (manacled and gagged) in the Temple of Asmodeus in the Cheliax city stronghold of Malefacta and Sieghart’s plans for her are to terrible to even fathom. Only the heroes can rescue the fair herald from being sacrificed to the god of tyranny and darkness and ultimately retrieve her 6th wing in the process (thus restoring Thais to full power once more).

A Paladin in Love:

Adventure Description
An adventure for 10th level PC’s which will ultimate take them to 15th level. While in the western parts of Kyonin, the PC’s stop for a rest in West Haven, a village built to ease racial tensions between elves and other races. They find only tormoil as the mayor is seeks adventures to accompany him through a portal into the Mwangi Expanse to rescue his beloved half–elven wife from the machinations of the winter counsel and the bekyar worshipers of Angazhan.

Adventure Background
A decade ago, a male aasiamr named Ianten Silvershield (male aasimar paladin 11 of Iomedae) and his two adoptive dwarf parents Thorik Silvershield (male dwarf fighter [Two-Handed Fighter] 11) and Belkara Silvershield [female dwarf cleric 11 of Folgrit] came to Kyonin to possibly settle and Ianten met and fell in love with Saria Edasseril (female half–elf Bard 11), a voluptuous green haired half–elven beauty and a distant relative of the royal family itself. After adventuring for at least a year, ianten and Saria settled down and funded (with Queen Telandia’s support) the construction of a settlement to further the aim of bridging the gap between elves and other races. Upon completion of this settlement (the village of West Haven), Ianten and Saria wed, an act which infuriated the Winter Counsel to no end! Another settlement with a population consisting of mostly other races other than elves was bad enough but for an outsider (no matter how pure) with adoptive dwarf parents marrying into the royal family? The Winter Counsel would not have it but to dispose of both Ianten and Saria, the counsel itself needed a plan. Thus a few years later, the counsel’s discovery of a two-way portal (built by ancient wild elves) which lead to the Mwangi Expanse intriged them. The Winter Counsel’s represenitives went through the protal and came into contact with a tribe of Bekyar worshipers of Angazhan. Thus a deal was struck. The Bekyar would gain a suitable sacrifice for their colossal fiendish albinio furred dire ape patron (named Agno) by going through the portal and kidnapping Saria thus forcing Ianten to follow after his beloved, thus killing two birds with one stone for the Counsel itself. The Counsel didn’t count on the PC’s however!

Not Much for knowledge of Golarion so I'll leave off setting specific details and make up the rest.

Where None Dare Tread:

Adventure Description This is intended for a party of PCs to go from level 1 to about 5. The Umbral Swamps are for the most part a blight on the ragged edge of civilization. But when farmers on the edge of the glades begin disappearing, the call goes out for those brave enough to investigate.

Adventure Background The hook calls for the PC's to be hired by the local lord to investigate the disapearence of Farmers and livestock along the border of the swamp. The party is pointed in the direction of the lizardmen with whom skirmishes regularly occur. As the Party makes its way through the swamp they will find the homes of the lizardmen decimated and the survivors fighting for base survival. Furter investigation will lead the party underground as they track down the Skum who have been kidnapping subjects to try and gain the power to fight against the Aboleth reclamation they are certain looms close. Will the Party triumph over adversity in the Umbral Swamps a land Where None Dare Tread?

Daring Discoveries:

Adventure Description LAND! New land. Uncolonized Land. That is the rumor that has spread like wildfire through every port for miles. But Even if Gozreh should allow one to find land. Who knows who or what has gotten there first. For levels 6-10. Or to taste

Adventure Background The Adventure begins as the Party signs on to or Charters a ship to search after a rumored new island. After hard adventures at sea the Party finds a wild jungle island. But, far from uninhabited, the island is home to fearsome beats and savage Orcs. And controlling the Orcs as a god, a fiend rules this land and has kept it secret, using it as leverage for his own advancement in his native realm. And he is most unhappy that his powerbase on the material plane has been invaded by mortal interlopers.

There's one that I've been thinking of for a while, and I've really wanted to discuss it with people, but I have the reservation that anything that I post here becomes Paizo's property, if I'm reading the small print correctly. I wonder if there's a board full of knowledgeable pathfinder players somewhere that lets me keep the rights to my comments.

Eh, only really matters if your idea is well developed, I mean, my concepts are just that, concepts. I only have one proper name between the two of them. But if it bothers you, try private and third party sites. Id start at Giant in The Playground.

Mine is highly developed. It needs a lot of polish though. I'm thinking that once it's done I might try to publish and sell it here.

I know id be interested in discussing. Perhaps over e-mail

Its called IP (Intellectual Property). Its Yours whether they think so or not. Dont Get me wrong, IP theft does occur. Data mining is IP theft. It is yet to be tested in court but one could argue that mining algorithms based on the behavior activity of people on line is the theft of the way they think and behave. That is as Much Intellectual Property as writing a formula that can break an encryption and having it stolen by government.

The Slavecatcher's Swords:

Adventure Description:This adventure path will take the party from 1st level to 20th level. They are sent to investigate smoke comming from a ruin near their isolated village just before Slavers Raid it. This is the beginning of the War that is about to engulf their Kingdom. They must trust the Gnome who betrayed their village because He sees some greater threat than a simple conflict between nations. He Sees the Reasoning Mind - an unidentified Genius that must be behind everything that happens - but at such a discrete level as to be invisible to the world around them. Sure there are villains profiting from the Chaos but our Reasoning Mind seems unconcerned about plots and schemes and is focused on creating a tidal wave of seemingly natural events which when they reach their destination will tear both kingdoms down. [ex-if an outbreak of giant spiders flushes goblins from their caves into the local woods throwing human communities into turmoil - is it a natural event? What if this is happening to many communities along a mountain range? What if it caused resource shortages? What if those shortages led to a war with your Kingdom?]

Adventure Background:The Kingdom has been at odds with it's neighbour for as long as they have been nations. The other is a nation of Slavery and resource shortage, but our own is a nation of Isolation - an almost sheer wall of rock guards a shared border, underpopulation, and a wealth of natural resources. For the PCs and their village - this last year had one significant event - the expulsion of Siroc the Shepherd into the wild for murder (he killed one of the other villagers). Though he has not been seen for a year, his misdeeds are not forgotten. The PCs are doing service in the Village Reserve Guard - which means they are to be sent to investigate green smoke emerging from the ruins of the old Keep a few miles north of the Village.

Still working on this... It would have been my final entry last year if I hadn't been beaten by people with more talent.
The Druid's Daughter

Spoiler:

For 9th-12th level characters.
Adventure Description: The small town of Kvantes has been neglected by the noble who claims their land. The town has survived, if not thrived, in this neglect, turning to old faiths to bless their crops and provide for their children. Called to the town by a friend, the PCs find themselves caught in the intrigue between two nations and their interests, and have to protect a young orphan from those who would use her against the village. But will the PCs have to sacrifice her themselves to keep the villagers' way of life from fading away entirely?

Adventure Background (world specific): The druid's family uses an ancient site dedicated to the green, making a blood sacrifice every year. Mercinaries hired by the Andoran merchants have assassinated the Druid and wiped out his family, except for his 5 year old daughter. The Andorans hope to provide food to the starving village, allowing them to see the 'benefits of freedom' and expand Andoran influence into Taldor. Sent by the town's liege lord, the party must defeat the Andorian conspiracy, and escort the druid's daughter to the shrine, where her blood will activate the altar and provide for a bountiful harvest.

Aside:

Spoiler:
I wanted to write an adventure where Taldor was the good guy, and Andoran wasn't. I also liked the long term reprecussions of the party acting one way or another. Do they support 'freedom' and maybe let people starve before help arrives? Or do they support the status quo?

Of course given the recent news, slaughtering a family as a plot device hits a bit close to home.

Anyone else?

The Other idea I'm floating is:

Castle Suburac:

Description: This is a smaller adventure - one off. Designed for Levels 5-7. Castle Suburac was actually some sort of Impactor that was dropped from the sky millenia ago and designed to penetrate deep into the ground. Down there in the caverns is a village and a castle being troubled by a Vampire (who lives in a Burial Crypt in another Cavern). The Impactor has its own secrets which may lead the PCs forward to future adventures.

Background: Castle Suburac is a ruined Metal tower with a bit of a lean - the Wizard who lives there was digging out the basements and installing wooden floors to make it habitable when he breaks into a huge cavern with a Mushroom Forest. he retreated at the sight of the 'Wyvern'.
He is calling in the local trouble shooters to go deal with it, and map the Cavern.

Grand Lodge

I have been interested in starting a free PDF taking up where Dungeon Magazine left off. Publishing some adventures written by "unknowns." For me, if you have a published credit you are not eligible for the e-zine. :) Newbies only.

It would be a quarterly e-zine, and I would need some help editing and laying out.

And just because it would only be open to Newbs does not mean I would accept amateurish ideas or execution. I would expect nothing less than the quality published in Dungeon Magazine.

So, the question before you is... is there any demand for such a product, and would anyone help?
