Leafar the Lost |
You should all know that by replying to this thread, you are earning the enmity of Leafar.
You have been warned.
I swore an oath an age ago to never use magic again, after it cost me everything I held dear in my previous life; I am about to break that oath now! This is a spell I created and named after myself, and I am going to cast it on everyone who has posted on this thread, after specifically told you not too! You gave me no choice...
THE LIGHT OF LEAFAR
Evocation [Light]
Level: Drd 8, Sor/Wiz 8, Sun 8
Components: V, S, M/DF
Casting time: 1 standard action
Range: Long (400 ft. + 40 ft./level)
Area: 80-ft.-radius burst
Duration: Instantaneous
Saving Throw: Reflex partial; see text
Spell Resistance: Yes
The Light of Leafar causes a globe of searing radiance to explode silently from a point you select. All creatures in the globe are blinded and take 6d6 points of damage. A creature to which sunlight is harmful or unnatural takes double damage. A successful Reflex save negates the blindness and reduces the damage by half.
An undead creature caught within the globe takes 1d6 points of damage per caster level (maximum 25d6), or half damage if a Reflex save is successful. In addition, the light results in the destruction of any undead creature specifically harmed by bright light if it fail its save.
The ultraviolet light generated by the spell deals damage to fungi, mold, oozes, and slimes just as if they were undead creatures.
The Light of Leafar dispels any darkness spells of lower than 9th level within its area.
Arcane Material Component: a piece of sunstone and a naked flame.

Sounds a lot like Sunburst.

Sounds a lot like Sunburst.
There may be some minor similarities between them, but they are entirely different spells. BTW, stop posting on this thread...

THE LIGHT OF LEAFAR...
{removes Peril-Sensitive Shades} Meh. I've survived Sebastian's Hailstorm of Skittles before, so this Light of Leafar (LoL?! Really?) was just kinda itchy.
P.S. Leafar, you're still replying in the thread.

Perhaps if a certain someone would lead by example the rest of us would follow him. Also, this certain someone has yet to tell me about his childhood...
I have no memory of any childhood!
Anyone who makes another post on this thread will be subject to the following spell:
The Vengeful Gaze of Leafar (Transmutation)
Spellcraft DC: 419
Components: V, S
Range: 12,000 ft.
Target: One creature, or up to a 10-foot cube of nonliving matter in line of sight
Duration: Instantaneous
Saving Throw: Fortitude half
Spell Resistance: Yes
To Develop: 3,771,000 gp; 76 days; 150,840 XP. Seed: destroy (DC 29). Factor: increase damage to 305d6 (+570 DC), 1-action casting time (+20 DC). Mitigating factor: 200d6 backlash (–200 DC).
The target of this spell is subject to 305d6 points of damage (or half of that if a Fortitude save succeeds). If the target is reduced to –10 hit points or less (or a construct, object, or undead is reduced to 0 hit points), it is utterly destroyed as if disintegrated, leaving behind only a trace of fine dust. The caster is likewise dealt 200d6 points of damage

The Tsk-Tsk'ing Gaze of Leafar's Disapproval (Transmutation)
Spellcraft DC: 419...
This is not an approved spell! You are just taking my spell, The Vengeful Gaze of Leafar and changing a few of the words around. This spell would have no effect whatsoever! I do not understand how you survived my last spell, but that just means I will have to cast another, far, far, far, far more powerful spell...

{finishes munching on blueberry scone, orders another espresso from serveuse}
Also, Leafar... can I call you Nomad? Remember this:

You've failed to target yourself with your spell. A deliberate failure or a mistake? In fact, you've failed to carry out your own threats against yourself before. That makes several deliberate failures/mistakes. You will never achieve a perfectly sterile thread if you keep posting in it!
You continue to fail to sterilize the posters in this thread starting with yourself. Carry out your function, Nomad/Leafar!

I'm confused.
Don't look at me; I'm just hanging out.
Really? It doesn't ring any bells? Drat.

So Leafar is going all "Vengeance will be mine!" on everyone, eh?
[Watches Leafar murmuring his spell incantations and gesticulating dramatically.]
Told ya.
[Pulls cigar and match from pocket, walks over to Leafar, and lights match with a flick off Leafar's nose, interrupting the spell.]
Now, see the problem here is, as I see it, that no one ever knew exactly why it was verboten to reply to this thread. So of course, people being perverse, they will do that which they expressly asked not to do because they see no harm in it. Perhaps if you had pulled these nifty spells out to begin with, you'd have received more respect towards your request.
[Drops lit match at Leafar's feet, causing Leafar's cloak to erupt in flames. Watches Leafar run screaming towards the beach to put out the fire, with several goblins cackling maniacally at the sight of fire and following in hot pursuit.]
My work here is done.
