Why does Wood Golem have the CON score?

I was trying to advance the Wood Golem to GS 11, but why does it have a CON score? Only to calculate the DC of its special attack?

From where do you think that all that tree sap comes?

No, that's probably a typo.

Well, but the DC of the special attack (Splintering) is based on CON, is that an error too?? ._.

Because he was made from a CONifer!

Even in 3.5 days abilities were based on con. I think the Iron Golem has a similar statement.

Generally speaking things like poison or physical attacks are con based, and spells are cha based.

Yar.

That's odd. I wonder where that 25 Con came from? I think that's a typo, becasue the PRD (the web reference document published by paizo) has the Wood Golem with a con score of -. LINKY

The text, however, is correct. If you go to the description of Constructs creature type, you will see a line that says

Construct Type wrote:
No Constitution score. Any DCs or other statistics that rely on a Constitution treat a construct as having a score of 10 (no bonus or penalty).

*shrugs*

Edit: even the DC given for it's splintering ability is calculated as if it had a con of 10 (becasue it's con score should be -), so the 25 con listed in the SRD can only be a typo, as nothing in the stat block that is based on Con is calculated with the 25 listed. I thereby conclude that the 25 Con is a typo. Again, the text reference to con, however, is not a typo. That is how it should be.

The wood golem in the Bestiary has CON - . The Paizo PRD agrees. It seems to be an error in d20pfsrd.com.

Because...

Wood Man is Incredible?

Roll save v. youtube or lose three minutes you can never get back.

^ I wonder what stats an air golem would have?

What printing? My Bestiary PDF is the Second Printing, April 2010. The Bestiary first printing errata document doesn't list this change to the wood golem, but only adjusts its Will save (but not all edits to the Bestiary seem to be listed - the eagle's space and reach have been changed but not listed in the errata).

In my book they have Con ---

Well, I'm Italian and I have the paper (Italian version obv).. ^^"

It has Con 25 in my copy of the Bestiary, which is the first printing (september 2009).

The 1st printing of the Bestiary erroneously listed a Con score for the wood golem. That was a typo. It's been fixed in the errata and the 2nd printing.
