So a friend of mine and his wife are closing on a new house on Friday and moving in Saturday. Which is great. The miscarriage she's going through right now, not good at all. This may get a little political. I'll try to keep to a minimum.
She goes into the emergency room Sunday. They get ahold of her medical group's on-call doctor, and he says "Don't run these particular tests, we'll get her in first thing in the morning and run them ourselves." The next morning she calls her doctor's office and the staff says, "There's no way we can get you in today."
Insert rant here about the arguments against universal healthcare in the US, and how they are completely irrelevant. "You'll have to wait for emergency procedures!" She's having to wait with the current system!

Snow days have wreaked havoc with the schedule for their presentations, and they're finally supposed to go today. So of course, the first question I get the day that the kids stand to get graded for their as-yet biggest assignment of the quarter:
"Are we playing after school today?"

My friend also happens to be an employee that reports to me. Took everything I had to convince him that he needs to stay home for at least the rest of the day, and if his wife needs him home tomorrow, to work from home tomorrow. He's a stubborn mule sometimes.
(And yes, I'd do this for the employees who report to me who I don't consider a friend - no favoritism.)

Today when I pulled Tiny T-Rex to school I wore shorts, knee high insulated socks, my new super padded shoes (which look like clown shoes on me on account of my size 12 feet on my 5'7" height), four layers of hoodies and a kid's Superman hat.
I do terrible things to fashion on a daily basis.

Funny; NobodysWife made just about the same exact supposition; with the exception of calling the cops. Around here homeless people going through your trash every week is the de facto standard, so no one pays it any mind.

Late start due to snow today and due to advisory schedule tomorrow means my morning English class is going to be approximately two days behind the afternoon. Now I get to figure out how to stall the afternoon to keep them from completely outpacing the morning class while they finish their presentations.

They obviously felt they needed to reign in certain members of the community before it all devolved into chaos.

Another knitting needle has gone missing out of the small knitting bag in my purse. I've already had to replace my point protectors since the last needle that went walkabout took one with it. I'm getting really tired of buying size 2 double pointed needles all the time. :/
I may have to make myself a new project bag to work from. Or a bag to put my project bag in so that I stop losing needles. One of these things.
I have a hunch I know what's happening. I think when I shove the shopping bags into my purse and then pull them out later to load groceries in them that the handles are somehow snagging the needles and pulling them out. Since I almost always lose needles on shopping days. Of course the more obvious solution would be to stop shoving the shopping bags into my purse, but that's just silly!

Today is one of those annoying days where I keep looking at the clock like it is bedtime yet? No? Ugh! It's like waiting for the end of class when you're a kid. Somehow time slooooooooows waaaaaaaaay doooooooooooooooooown and that last minute lasts for approximately a year. ;P

I do! That's probably my favourite album of theirs - I think they (or maybe just Jack Bruce) wrote really good psychedelicky pop songs, and I kind of prefer that side of them to the endless blues-rock beedly beedly element.
Jack Bruce was in Tony William's Lifetime later on, too (with John McLaughlin?) and that was a top band.

At the risk of over-sharing, I know from personal experience that allowing yourself to go through the grieving process fully and not downplay or minimize the loss is essential.
And, unless the news is truly catastrophic, there is almost always hope.

It’s socks. That sort of bag would be much too big for socks. Not to mention harder to loop over my wrist so I can work while walking. Always freaks my husband out when we go places. :P But I might be able to put the normal bag inside one of those bags, at least on shopping day
And dollar store pencil cases are the best for holding needles when not in use...these are needles that were in use. It’s a mercy that so far I’ve only lost the one free needle every time. I'm envisioning a combination hard/soft leather closed-top sheath, set with two small belts, Maybe some sort of padding, sewn on the "skin-side" of the sheath...
It would be wore beneath skirts/dresses, on the thigh, within easy reach. And the leather could be tastefully decorated, either by stitching or cutting, for those official occasion where you have to look really good.
Its the ultimate statement for the Femme fatale knitter!
Or of cause you could make a lower rent version, that you could strap onto you upper arm, if you had too...

I got irritated last night.
An investigator’s inspiration pool refreshes each day, typically after he gets a restful night’s sleep.
Said investigator failed his will save against nightmare spell, which prevents restful sleep. So I declare he does not refresh his inspiration points.
there's nothing saying I need rest then I should get inspiration as there's nothing saying you have to rest, just when it typically refills. It refills each day. It doesn't say there is an occasion where it doesn't refill. That's RAW. Nuking inspiration to make nightmare work better on noncasters is ridiculous.

If it was not dependent on sleep they'd just put he gets it back the next morning or set another condition:
I. E A divine spellcaster chooses and prepares spells ahead of time, but unlike a wizard, does not require a period of rest to prepare spells. Instead, the character chooses a particular time of day to pray and receive spells.
If it was dependent on sleep it would sound like this: "He must choose and prepare his spells ahead of time by getting 8 hours of sleep and spending 1 hour studying his spellbook."
'Typically' does not mean 'only'
If they wanted what you said, it would say that it refills each day after a restful sleep, or after 8hrs of sleep, or only after restful sleep.
"An investigator’s inspiration pool refreshes each day, only after he gets a restful night’s sleep. Otherwise the pool does not refresh."
That's not what it says. It's only indicating time of day. What if I slept twice a day? It only refills once a day, typically after I sleep. Like cleric spells, who can choose dusk or Dawn, but typically it is Dawn.
Me:If time of the day, then they would not have tied it to restful sleep. They'd just say it refreshes once every 24 hours etc.
Sure they could have tied it harder, but that's devs for you. They can be unclear about wordings.

Yes and typically in English also does not mean all of the time. Nothing in the description requires restful sleep, so it doesn't.
Me: That's what your interpretation of how the inspiration pool is refreshed, and we could continue arguing, but it would get no where, since I view it one way you view it the other.
You get X, mostly after Y occurs. You decide to just ignore the phase mostly after Y occurs.
Mostly does not mean exclusively. Ok how about this: if it typically refreshes after a restful night sleep, when else does it refresh? Since it's not always after a restful night sleep. Answer: morning.
What kind of logic is that, even?
In the end I even looked up the class development notes then threw this at him:
