And, my bottle of Shirayuki Sake is done. Does anyone else have a recommendation for me to try?
I liked you before. I like you even more now. Sake is one of my three go to drinks.
Let me steer you hither, young grasshopper.
Remember to drink and drive and romance responsibly.

Thanks for the list, Baron. Saved all five pages as PDFs. And don't worry about me driving. I don't. I generally drink Sake while at home, watching anime. :)

Limey's Bin is capable of causing any bit of rubbish that isn't dropped directly into its capacious maw to veer off and land on the grotty carpet with a pathetic little splat, or crunch, depending on consistency. Thankfully, it has not developed the ability to hurl the objects in question back at its assailant, but this is only a matter of time.

Tacticslion are you familiar with Leibniz's Cosmological Argument?
Somewhat, actually, however it has been a while. I'll gladly watch the video in a little bit, when I have access to Wi-Fi. Thanks!
EDIT: finished it! It's a pretty solid explanation, of the principal in general. I appreciated the video. Thanks! It's certainly an argument that I have heard before, and it's a fairly decent one for the existence of "something" although, as he pointed out in the video, it has its various detractors. That said I, at least, I have never found "because" to be a sufficient explanation for the question of, "how" and, generally speaking, science isn't even allowed to answer except that answer anyway. Still, it is nice to be refreshed! As noted, it has been a while since I've actually been immersed into the various arguments for and against, and it's need to be refreshed on them again!

An immobile Limey's Bin at CR 3 would still somehow manage to TPK a 4 th Level party composed myself, Freehold, Sharoth and Capt Yesterday.

I enjoyed the Sea Wars trailer. [Mandatory attached rant redacted, as all concerned principals have multiple copies.]
And another "Thanks!" for the Leibniz post!

Sadly, all that yelling and screaming was the encounter's high point and the most effective response the party could muster. Things took a turn for the worse and spiraled down from there.

So, who says that volunteering doesn't pay? :-P
I, being Lawful, contacted the city about replacing my front steps, and what kind of paperwork I'd have to get for the guy who was going to do it for me.
Turns out the primary contact point for the city is... the head of the choir's group of volunteers!
Needless to say, she answered me right away, is willing to help me do all the right forms the first time, etc.
That's not saying that she wouldn't do it for ANYONE, but it was kind of funny getting an e-mail back from the city that said, "Oh, hi, NobodysHome! Of course we can help you out with that! Here's what you'll need..."

Yesterday afternoon, as was pretty much inevitable, there was a major collision at the intersection up the hill from us. The cars going down the grade (maybe an 8% grade or so) have a long straightaway, hence end up at 35-40 mph in a 25 mph zone. The cars in the cross streets have poor visibility, and, in a move that baffles me, tend to run the stop signs so they can see. (It seems to me that if you can't see the traffic on the through street, the LAST thing you want to do is roll blindly into that street.)
So a car running the stop sign hit a car speeding down the hill.
I heard a loud crash, and knew Impus Minor was out and on foot, so as a concerned dad I headed outside. There were two of my neighbors who'd run out of their houses and were desperately pulling on one of the cars (the downhill car), trying to get it to stop. The poor woman's brakes had been destroyed by the collision. So I came out to help.
While we were all there, we immediately started taking triage -- the woman had a 6-month old puppy who'd been hit by an airbag and was in bad shape. We insisted she take it to the emergency vet on the corner right away (about a block and a half away). One of my neighbors escorted her. I told her I'd deal with the police until she returned. Another neighbor ran off to check on the other car. A third was walking the 911 dispatcher through the whole thing. I got to hold the car (one neighbor finally managed to force it into gear so it stopped trying to roll about so much).
So when the police showed up, the driver of one of the cars was missing.
Did they freak out? Did they yell at us about letting the driver leave the scene? No! I told them she'd taken her injured dog to the vet, and they just said, "Oh, that's totally reasonable," asked whether she seemed injured, and went ahead and waited for her to get back. They figured out which of the neighbors were witnesses and who was just there to help, and once the woman was back the first thing they did was check on her health and take care of her, and then asked her about the collision.
It's amazing what a difference a good police force makes: Collisions are traumatic. Yelling at people for not saving their dogs' lives will help no one. Cooperating with the neighborhood and getting things taken care of in a compassionate manner works wonders.
And watching half a dozen neighbors pour out of their houses to offer whatever assistance they could was really gratifying. It really made us feel like a neighborhood.
Living in urban areas usually sucks, because there's no sense of community and no one wants to talk to each other. My friends who live in San Francisco are amazed that I even know my neighbors' names, much less have keys to many of their houses. Albany continues to be that "small midwestern town in the middle of the big city". Without the cow-tipping.
