Dark Archive

Greetings fellow denizens. So in round up of the past few posts we have had a mountain slide, AZ coullege having heart attack (yet another soul slipping away from the grasp of Hell) a possible job and someone pointing out the correct spelling on those pesky words like honour, labour and colour.

In other words I'm just wasting time before heading to work.

EDIT And I got my copy of the pathfinder comics, tis awesome.

Went to my local B&N back in JULY and preordered =D Will get a phone call and a reserved copy the day they come in.

Back from session of Dark Heresy. For a first time in ages a PC have actually died in game other than D&D. And it was her third session but she went away in a blaze of glory. And the other new player had insane rolls. Full-auto hit with five bullets, each with tearing and each of the bullets managed to trigger Emperor's Fury (or whatever the re-roll of 10 for damage is called in DH) and shred the demon emerging from our newly discovered not-yet-sanctioned psyker to pieces. Or was it a mutant? No idea, Forbidden Lores are not skills I would happen to know.

My poor Emperor-serving assassin had no chance to kill anyone on this session, the same character eliminated two cultists in earlier combat with auto-fire before I got to them :(

I like Jim Butcher's Calderon Series. Had a harder time getting into Dresden. Though I have most of them, I've only read the first 6(ish).

;;

Just had to write out 4 PC's in a pbp. Darn, so sad. Hopefully some people will come back.

So much for today's optimism.

Codex Alera was indeed awesome.

Six in... means your next one is Dead Beat. READ IT. That book is worth getting through the rest just on its own. One of the most awesome moments in the entire series is in there.

I'll have to dig out the books. I put them down 2 years ago, but they're in with all my other paperbacks. I mostly read on my phone these days, I wonder if its worth it to spend for them in .mobi

Butcher's one of the few authors I make a point of actually buying the books for, but Scint bought the series for Kindle, she could tell you more on that.

I'd say it's worth it. I actually have up to #11 in paperback; I got the ebook of the later two because hardcovers are frickin' expensive, and waiting takes patience. I should get around to buying my backup copies...

I know when someone said all the Dresden Files (before Changes) had 2 word titles with the same number of letters I thought Na-ah.

:P

They should have re-titled it "Little Favour" to keep with the theme. Or perhaps "Smaull Favour"...

Well, let's see what they have to say.

On review, it's a rim job with minimal client contact. My level of interest is increasing.

I'm guessing that included a raise.

EDIT: a naked raise.
