Naked vikings, at that.

Uh, being naked on a boat full of wrathful vikings can be no good. Well, I have nothing else to do but pretend to be berserker in the throes of rage: RAWR! GRRRGRAGARGA!

That's not bad, but you need to work on your foaming at the mouth.

Yeah, it needs a bit of work. The closest I get now is slavering oneself while sleeping.

Ugh. So one of my molars cracked and a large piece of my tooth fell off today while at work. Yaaaaay. Emergency dental work.

My favorite.

I was just chewing gum. It was pretty weird. I had a cavity that weakened one corner of th emolar, and I chewed wrong. Snap!

I have a temp crown on now. The dentist was pretty surprised when I said "I'm here, let's just do this!" but he went along with it.

The lydocaine is starting to wear off now. I'm going to be a bit sore for a while, I think. Ah well. Life goes on.

Ouch for broken teeth, Jess.

And on a personal grumble note: I'm having three weeks off work - so why am I still awake several hours after midnight!?

Sorry to hear about the tooth Jess. :(

Hopefully it isn't too painful now.

So you can hang out with us North and South Americans during our evening.

And nice signed book by the way. That is a terrific title.

I made a batch chocolate chip cookies to share at my game tonight, and then the game got cancelled. So, poor me, I have all these delicious, home-made noms that I will have to eat without sharing. What a problem to have.

I hope you have lots of milk!

Huh, surprisingly, my jaw is just a tad bit sore. I don't think I'll even need any otc pain meds. Go random dentist! So far so good.

My first tooth problem ever (well, other than wisdom teeth out), and I had to get a crown. I don't like to do things halfway, what can I say. I actually feel good enough, I think I'm going to take my lazy ass to the gym tonight.

The Exchange

Been there before Jess. Sorry your having to go through it now. I feel for you. I am also impressed, you made it to the gym. I can't seem to do that on a good day.

Hope you had a good day. Swing any more Peter Pan's by his "Wendy's" on the harness!

Now, I am just making that slang up! I of course mean crotch harness - but I cannot resist innuendo. Especially @ 4am.

Yeah, I injured my shoulder about a month ago, and the pain was pretty bad. Now I'm good...but it's really hard to get back to going to the gym. I just started being good again this week, so I'm not going to let myself make unnecessary excuses. I didn't run as far as normal (I suspect that's more my three weeks off than the tooth), but by golly I did the elliptical for 45 minutes and then I did 120 crunches, so I got a decent day in.

Also, now I should sleep well, even with some tooth twinges!

I desperately want a t-shirt of that little picture of the bug-eyes cat hugging the blood red world. That is truly an awesome visual.

My black and white cat is one of the murderer cats. The black one tries to be, but fails at killing. He's a wanna be serial killer.

Second episode of the season for Supernatural last night, and I'm already a bit disappointed. But not disappointed enough to stop watching.

Scarab Sages

Considering doing On Demand of Dark Shadows. I was a fan of the old series from when they used to replay it on the Sci-Fi Channel.

Testing on FHDM how you will speak with Charlie soon... Sonner than you expect, probably?

I watched a trailer for this movie called Pitch Perfect. Normally, musical type movies don't appeal to me (unless maybe it was Zombie: The Musical), but this one had one of those things I really like - hot chicks singing acapella.

Scarab Sages

Not to mention the Australian chick playing "Fat Amy" has some pretty funny one-liners in the trailer.

Scarab Sages

But enough about that. Let's talk about another of my favorite subjects.....ME.

Scarab Sages

Little known fact: I have been collecting comics since 1983. My first comic was issue #47 of Marvel's G.I. Joe. It was purchased for me by my dearly departed maternal grandmother, in thanks for always being her helper during grocery shopping. She knew I liked to read, and thought I might like that.

Scarab Sages

In a similar way, my paternal grandmother gave me her boxed-set, paperback copy of the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings - a set I still have to this day and plan to pass on to my son one day.

It is one of my most prized possesions.

Scarab Sages

Although the Chronicles of Narnia was my first foray into fantasy.

Scarab Sages

My favorite sci-fi book, however, is Destination: Void by Frank Herbert.

Scarab Sages

And I think my favorite ever TV show is Babylon 5. Of that series, my favorite episode was the two part War Without End.

Scarab Sages

Another little known fact: When I eat Skittles, I divide them by color, throw out the yellows, then eat them in this order: green, orange, purple, red.

Scarab Sages

Yes, I am a very weird person.

Scarab Sages

Yet another little known fact:

When I drive my wife's car, the divider between the two front seats has a lid that can be pulled forward to serve as an arm rest. I always pull it forward.

One of the few cases of time travel in tv series done right?

My favorites are focusing on G'Kar and Lando. With a bit of Vir.

Scarab Sages

Well-known fact: I dislike cats.

Have you seen 'The Happiness of the Katakuri's' a story of a small Japanese family who are beset by a few zombies and thus it turns into a musical. Of course as a Takashi Miike - it's very crazy.
