My money is on the duck. After all, has anyone ever compared a bad situation to being nibbled to death by pencils? I don't think so.

Screaming yay while running naked around? Is this a sprint from sauna to cold lake?

Depends on who you're celebrating with.

I'd like to think I'm more skeptical than that, but I do enjoy my firearms. :)

What ya got there is a fairly bad wizard.

Liberty's Edge Contributor, RPG Superstar 2012

Treppa's post ate Blue Pigeon!

Yea. A peasant wizard. I'm gonna re-roll, definitely.

I down loaded OSRIC rules a day or two ago and now its time to Roll for six primary attributes.

Strength: 4d6 + 1d6 - 1d6 ⇒ (1, 5, 4, 6) + (6) - (5) = 17
Intelligence: 4d6 + 1d6 - 1d6 ⇒ (3, 2, 4, 6) + (6) - (3) = 18
Wisdom: 4d6 + 1d6 - 1d6 ⇒ (2, 3, 3, 2) + (4) - (1) = 13
Dexterity: 4d6 + 1d6 - 1d6 ⇒ (2, 6, 3, 2) + (3) - (4) = 12
Constitution: 4d6 + 1d6 - 1d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 1, 1) + (5) - (6) = 12
Charisma: 4d6 + 1d6 - 1d6 ⇒ (5, 2, 3, 4) + (1) - (3) = 12

It seems I have a decent Fighter/Mage. Hmmm, thinking Wood Elf or Half-Elf.

Liberty's Edge Contributor, RPG Superstar 2012

Oh, good. He survived.

Picking at the idea of using the Amazing Engine Skill Rules in OSRIC format. AE is almost a percentile system.

So either a strong wizard or a smart fighter?

Light weapons, such as short swords, daggers, and long bow look promising with light armor, nothing greater than studded leather or ring mail, with a heavy buckler.

Hmmmm, Great sword if enchanted properly.

Don't worry. I'm pretty sure he deleted the pictures of me. Pretty sure...

Time for character #02

Strength: 4d6 + 1d6 - 1d6 ⇒ (3, 1, 3, 5) + (2) - (5) = 9
Intelligence: 4d6 + 1d6 - 1d6 ⇒ (3, 2, 3, 4) + (1) - (2) = 11
Wisdom: 4d6 + 1d6 - 1d6 ⇒ (5, 2, 1, 5) + (5) - (5) = 13
Dexterity: 4d6 + 1d6 - 1d6 ⇒ (6, 4, 1, 4) + (1) - (2) = 14
Constitution: 4d6 + 1d6 - 1d6 ⇒ (6, 5, 2, 3) + (5) - (1) = 20
Charisma: 4d6 + 1d6 - 1d6 ⇒ (1, 6, 4, 2) + (3) - (6) = 10

Essentially no combat skills. Call him a henchman and thief, I would him or her a halfling.

I'll knock that CON down to 18 and redistribute 2 points to strength

So.., 11, 11, 13, 14, 18, 10

Re-Roll again.

Pretty awesome CON though.

Silver Crusade

I am feeling very unmotivated today.

...and thus a third character is born. Let's see what happens when I alter the order of attributes.

Strength: 4d6 + 1d6 - 1d6 ⇒ (3, 3, 6, 4) + (5) - (4) = 17
Dexterity: 4d6 + 1d6 - 1d6 ⇒ (6, 4, 4, 5) + (5) - (6) = 18
Constitution: 4d6 + 1d6 - 1d6 ⇒ (2, 6, 2, 2) + (1) - (5) = 8
Intelligence: 4d6 + 1d6 - 1d6 ⇒ (1, 3, 1, 2) + (3) - (1) = 9
Wisdom: 4d6 + 1d6 - 1d6 ⇒ (1, 1, 5, 2) + (2) - (5) = 6
Charisma: 4d6 + 1d6 - 1d6 ⇒ (4, 1, 5, 3) + (6) - (1) = 18

Well, it seems I rolled a a low level junior cleric turned lovable psychotic. Let's put this one in the reject pile before we go any further.

What you need is a bard who can use the "inspire motivation" bardic performance.

Celestial Healer wrote:

What is this motivation that you are talking about? The word does not compute.

~grins~

Let's see what happens when I roll four to the floor.

Strength: 4d6 + 1d6 - 1d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 1, 4) + (1) - (6) = 11
Intelligence: 4d6 + 1d6 - 1d6 ⇒ (2, 1, 3, 6) + (6) - (5) = 13
Wisdom: 4d6 + 1d6 - 1d6 ⇒ (4, 1, 2, 2) + (3) - (5) = 7
Dexterity: 4d6 + 1d6 - 1d6 ⇒ (6, 2, 3, 5) + (4) - (1) = 19
Constitution: 4d6 + 1d6 - 1d6 ⇒ (6, 2, 3, 5) + (6) - (6) = 16
Charisma: 4d6 + 1d6 - 1d6 ⇒ (5, 3, 3, 3) + (5) - (6) = 13

Now let's Look at it from an alternate view. From thief (again) to...

Strength: 4d6 + 1d6 - 1d6 ⇒ (5, 2, 3, 5) + (2) - (3) = 14
Dexterity: 4d6 + 1d6 - 1d6 ⇒ (1, 2, 1, 5) + (5) - (5) = 9
Constitution: 4d6 + 1d6 - 1d6 ⇒ (2, 6, 3, 3) + (2) - (3) = 13
Intelligence: 4d6 + 1d6 - 1d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 2, 2) + (3) - (1) = 17
Wisdom: 4d6 + 1d6 - 1d6 ⇒ (6, 3, 2, 6) + (3) - (6) = 14
Charisma: 4d6 + 1d6 - 1d6 ⇒ (2, 6, 5, 2) + (2) - (3) = 14

a decent wizard, minus the low average to average dexterity. Definitely a support character.

Celestial Healer wrote:

Let's see, three rolls for Celestial Healer.

Wisdom Check: 1d20 + 1d6 + 1d4 ⇒ (18) + (1) + (3) = 22

Initiative Roll: 1d20 + 1d6 + 1d4 ⇒ (14) + (4) + (1) = 19

Fortitude Save: 1d20 + 1d6 + 1d4 ⇒ (3) + (2) + (4) = 9

Two out of three. You blew your fortitude save but do you save for 1/2 half damage do to your Uncanny Dodge feat?

DC 9 vs. Reflex Save 1d20 + 1d6 + 1d4 ⇒ (10) + (2) + (1) = 13

Yes. You take 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (3, 4) + 2 = 9 points of stun [electricity] damage.
