...car alarms...You barely find them in cars over here anymore. Its really strange nowadays when you DO hear one of them go off.Admittedly, I haven't shopped for a new car in 15 years, but my impression is that you can't purchase a car in the U.S. without an alarm.
Any other U.S.ers want to confirm/deny that?

The cars/trucks in my recent inventory have had alarms, but I feel like they were not reactive alarms - rather they were driver initiated, typically from the fob.
The hypothetical use being, I am threatened by BBEG as I approach my car. I hit the panic button and car starts screaming. This may startle the BBEG long enough for me to get in car and lock door or alert the hypothetical parking attendant/friendly neighbor/masked crusader to come rescue me.
So while I have not had car alarms go off because of anyone messing with car, I have had my toddler grab fob and set it off.

That's about all I've seen in recent years as well. The constant false alarms made it more of an annoyance than a deterrent.
There were at least a half-dozen in one apartment complex I was staying at. When the 'car alarms' are louder than the jetliners coming in on approach over your apartment and they get 'keyed' by other residents, it's hard to feel much in the way of sympathy or empathy (this was in the late '90's, when it was believed to be useful.. somehow).
Please note not advocating for such vandalism!

New cars generally do not have touch/motion alarms anymore. (Panic buttons, yes, but not alarms due to touch.) If you hear one, it’s likely an older car or an after-market addition.

Many years ago I was notified that I was eligible to participate in a class-action lawsuit brought against BIG MILK for price-fixing in my area (Edwards v. National Milk Producers) and they've settled it now. I am entitled to a WHOPPING $7.51 distribution payment from this.
All I have to do is file more paperwork and jump through additional registration in order to have them send me a check... woo hoo....

Yeah, all I can say is that he is so freaking lucky he doesn't have life insurance, or I'd be poisoning his tea.
Some guys will do anything they can, take anything they can get to take care of their families.
WW isn't one of those guys. He relies on me to be one of those guys. For 22 years.
I really do appreciate that Walker isn't just "Bad man is bad." In many contexts he'd absolutely be a hero.
Did he make the wrong call? Yeah. He lost control and that's not okay. But also that guy was, at that point, an enemy combatant who explicitly took part in the manslaughter of Walker's long-time best friend. It's not the right reaction, but it's a very human and understandable one.
It's clear he not only cares but he's actually trying to do the best he can - even though he's wrong. And that's really cool.
EDIT: And, to be clear, in this context he is definitely a villain. I realized in rereading this that it wasn't clear that this was the case. But the fact that he isn't just a bad man for the sake of making another villian, but has nuance and character is cool, and feels good - he is a good-intentioned man who is going down a very dark road toward badness, exactly like Karli: both are getting radicalized into taking ever-worse actions for good-over-all ends. "Road to hell" as it were.
(Unlike Zemo who is clearly just a bad man, even if a saavy and clever one with a moral code.)
I also appreciate the relationship between Sam and Bucky. Sam's advice to Bucky is really good.
I don't agree with Sam in a number of instances, but I like how they're good people who are trying to do their best.
I still want Sam and Bucky to become Super Soldiers. A lot! Given what happened with the formula and Walker it's going ever-less-likely. But still! I got my fan wants! Don't judge!

Contrary to my expectations, Walker actually saved the car! Or tried!
And I love that Sam succeeded!
It's a testament to how good this stuff is that even when I'm very much so against her, I wish Karli would be redeemed, or Sharon Carter (for that matter), despite the fact that both've gone (more or less) full-on bad, especially since Karli, at least, still genuinely wants good ends, even when she's made herself do increasingly bad things.
Not super-stoked about Sharon going bad, honestly, but, eh, that's how it goes. Sad business.
Deeeeefintely find Sam's speech to the senator a bit... mmmmmm... mixed. The thing is, they are, in fact, terrorists (using terror tactics to enforce social change through fear). The Senators are correct - the whole thing is stupendously complicated. It is very inspiring to tell people to "do better" and I agree with the sentiment, but I'm not sure that the framing was entirely right, and his actual argument was, "This sucks, I don't know how, but do better." which... eeeeehhhh, yeah, they need to do better, but it's difficult to get there.
But Steve wasn't always right, either, and Sam is daggum awesome. I'm hype. Still wish he gained superhuman stuff, but now that's not really possible anymore. A shame ('cause super-powers, dang it!), but I get what they're doing, and it's a good thing.
Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaate Zemo, though. Still absolutely the worst.
Valentina's interesting - kind of like an evil Fury, which is interesting.
I loved seeing Isaiah casually handling that super-heavy tree like it was nothing, and I looooooooooooooooooved the monument to him.
Amazing how that one government review council managed to do literally everything wrong. Literally. Everything. XI
Anyway, the ending was fantastic, and seeing most everyone's arcs do as they did. Fantastic. One of the best endings, hands down.
Also, I laughed how "many" endings it had. Very Return of the King of it. And well-earned.

The place Impus Major is going is a run-down industrial area with massive homeless encampments, a few hundred yards from the nearest known gang territories. So it's not especially dangerous; the homeless keep to themselves at night, and gangs don't frequent the area. But it's definitely not a place a woman should walk alone at night, either. Of course, given that the entirety of the U.K. now fits that category, maybe it's not so bad after all...

Grar. Borderlands 3 refused to start, without a visible reason or an error message. It simply showed "running" notification on Steam and after a few second showed back "play" button.
Firewall hasn't listed it as blocked or isolated files. Verifying the files integrity showed no errors.
So now I am installing the whopping 136 GBs again scratch...

After running borderlands exe as admin I got an error issue: VCRUNTIME140.dll is missing...

After a lot of searching I found that I can simply open windows application list and try to repair Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2019.
Repaired, system restarted, steam opened, borderlands 3 run...
And it stuck in a loop of asking permission to make changes to the hard drive and opening a steam prompt about preparing to launch. Oops? At least progress from not starting at all.
And then I decided to check the executable properties - turned off "run as administrator" and now it has opened.
