Heh,
If you think Rocko talks too much, (And I'm not saying he doesn't)
Just wait until you get the chance to meet me! :)
But at least I'm honest about it. :)
I like PLAYING in the snow.
SHOVELING snow,... Not nearly as much. ;P
But then, when I DID have to do it, I wasnt getting paid for it either.
Money helps me get over a lot of things I dont really like. :)

It's mostly using a snowblower, I only use a shovel on steps.
And really, when you're working with me all you have to do is be the eye candy and act casual.

We didn't even get an inch, looks like we're not going out at 3 again.
Looks like I'll just have to have relations with the wife.
Unfortunately, I still have the Ostrich Mating Dance song stuck in my head, so hopefully I don't accidentally start singing the chorus to myself and ruin the whole thing.

Just hum it instead.

Is it really that much of a PITA?
Our roofer told us outright that it took a separate license to do paint work, and he refused to pay for the license so we'd have to paint everything ourselves. I regret not forcing him to at least give me a referral to someone who would do it for us, because the amount of exposed wood was rather amazing. (They had to replace a LOT of stuff...)
Our fireplace contractor is just finishing up the fireplace, and while I thought he was going to do the final paint job, the contract is to install "a paint grade mantle"... in other words, something ready to be painted.
So apparently, painting is something good contractors don't do any more.
Any idea why not, CY?
It's monotonous.
And messy if you're not paying close attention, which contractors are incapable of doing.
Personally, I like painting.
We're replacing the kitchen as well this spring. So money will be tight. Otherwise it would have been tempting to fly you and CapYesterday over and have it all done in a week.

If you have a dog or cat in the family I highly recommend sad dog therapy and sad cat therapy.

We found an asian grocery yesterday, took the Homunculi to explore, and it was a huge success. They got pocky, I found not only mochi but also sesame-red-bean balls, a sweet fried dessert I haven't had since leaving NY, and Mrs Sunrise found all kinds of tasty dinner items. Dinner was delicious, and...
I LOVE MOCHI!!!
Nobody else here is a fan -- they're not sweet enough for the Homunculi, and Mrs Sunrise is offended both by the texture (we decided they're skinned tribbles) and the fact that it's a sweetened bean product. (She's offended by baked beans too. This has threatened to end our marriage.) But I love the texture and the mild sweetness, and I'm about to finish my breakfast with a couple more!

First World Problems:
(1) We have a 75" TV
(2) We have one of those extending, rotating wall mounts for it
(3) The studs behind the fireplace are not exactly centered; they're about 4" off
As a result, centering the TV over the fireplace, the unevenly distributed weight of the TV causes it to rotate, because the wall mount's resistance isn't high enough to stop it.
Unlike every other motion I can adjust, the tension of rotation doesn't seem to be adjustable.
So our beautiful fireplace (pics once it's painted) and beautiful TV over the fireplace are cursed by a pile of books in the back holding up one side of the TV.
I hate having to move the TV again (there was much drama when only GothBard, Impus Minor, and I hung it yesterday), but I think I'm going to have to pull it down and insert some steel dowels in sensitive areas of the rotation mechanism...

its okay, papa. I do not mind watching the large tv with the books holding it in place. The fire is so warm. May I have more foie gras, please?

A foot and a half is 18 inches. I'm 4'11", or 59 inches. 75-59=16. 16 is not quite 18.
I know TVs are measured on the hypoteneuse. Don't care.

Looks good. Is it fun?
I presume it is more 'Fairy Tail' fun than 'Fullmetal Alchemist' fun?

I am pleased that the dutch subtitles for the witcher use the polish spelling of names. Roach = Płotka
Płotka is the original name of the (series of) Witcher's horse(s)* and refers to common roach.
*there is a scene somewhere in the books where someone asks Geralt about that and he says that he calls all his horses Płotka, even the male ones (the word itself is grammatically feminine in Polish).

It was a bit confusiong at first when they all have 'english' names, and the subtitles sometimes vary wildly with the polish names, but I like it.

Saturday's One-Shot:
My paladin was devoured by a purple worm that emerged from the torchlit outhouse that served as the entrance to the dungeon. Before we even got to roll initiative.
So then my barbarian single-handedly slaughtered 80-90% of all vile dungeon denizens, and suddenly rolled poorly on a saving throw . . . . Petrification sucks!
So I was handed a goblin NPC to run (as the timing was good and it served the narrative), but Darth Narsus's wood elf archer decided it was no good having a cooperative goblin along with the party. That gobbo had three maximum hit points. Three.
And I don't even remember what I was running for the last battle . . . . Tired, I was, after 30-ish hours awake and working!
Three character deaths in a single evening . . . . Hmph.
Had fun, though.

Cool, interesting. I like it!
Definitely extra points for the neck-guard or helmet having a beard-cover of metal that looks like the beard!
